What Diameter Slugs for Impact M3 .22?

The superior heavy liner in my M3 grouped the .217s and .218s very well at 50y, but at 100y the .217 opened way up while the .218s grouped tight. I tried 24.8, 27.5, and 28.5 in .217 and .218 and the .218 27.5 was the obvious winner.

I just received some .2175 to test against the .218 at 100y. Not sure why I'm bothering, the .218s shoot fantastic... but I want to know what's best before placing a big bulk order.

Edit: tested the .2175s. Same velocity as the .218s, grouped the same as the .218 at 50y, and at 100y+ while the .2175 were far more accurate than the .217s the .218s were still the clear winner in the accuracy department. I'll be placing a large order for more .218s.

Save you money & try the AVS 217 32G Dish base or the 218.3 34 G Dish 30. Cal use the 3013 51G Dish base. I wasted so much money testing slugs & wish someone would of gave more this info. I have the Impact heavy barrels & I shot them at 975 to 980 fps. I set every to max & then adjust the reg to get 1000 FPS. Then I lower the hammer spring set at #8 ( M-3 ) with the little wheel until I get it down to 987 to 990. Then I turn the bumper in until I get it down to 977 fps. That way every thing is working & doing there job set to a lower reg pressure.
