What did you buy yourself for Christmas?

How do you like the Skout tripod? Stable? Sturdy? Well built?
This isn’t a SKOUT tripod. I had a good ball head, (Benro B2), from another tripod and I picked this Sirui tripod from a camera store for 65 bucks and slapped 'em together. It’s very sturdy.

Glad you've had such good luck with yours. I had another bigger one a while back. Picked it up for a song because it didn't run. Fixed it and found it was just too heavy, so I sold it. Then mother nature dropped this on us and here I am. Not sure how many cords this will be. Hundreds probably.

Most of the time when storms knock down trees, they don't break cleanly into small pieces like that...and they fell right next to your truck! Some people are just plain lucky!!!

I refuse to answer this question just in case my wife reads this post!!!
Okay okay - I admit it - I went big this year. Bought a Coltri MCH6 ICON compressor. Thought I was done until Utah Air put the FX True Ballistic Chrono on sale for $749. And yes, beer was involved...

Like to get me one of those, but as i recall too steep price.
Also would have to get something to put it on first, and that's even more expensive.
Arken do not ship out from USA and there was some problem with optics and shipping out from USA to EU (Denmark). Viking wanted Arken but there were shipping problems. Ask Him.

My wife would probably tell you that in my world every day is Christmas, I have a nasty habit of buying something if I want it. On a postive note, I've been doing it long enough that its seldom that I buy something (though I have had a bad run since I joined this forum).

Most recently & likely the last thing this year would be a Diana 65 I just took delivery of.
