Ready for Bad Weather

After getting back together with my ex and both of us loving it after 12 years apart we decided to retire. Living in Oregon has been ok but I told her I wanted to go home to retire back in the Black Hills of SD. She said great, let's go!! So we go back for a couple of visits and our last one got expensive 🙃
Now i can shoot out my back door and we have a 1000 acre ranch behind us.

Congratulations on the rekindle and new beautiful home! That is a shooters dream house!

My plan of nothing have changed.
With recent sessions in the shot shed in sub zero ( C ) temperatures, i am now thinking better improve on the shed some more.

1: new extreme heavy duty tarp procured to act as a roof / watertight barrier, the still heavy but 4 X lighter one already there seem to have pinholes CUZ i refuse to believe that so much condensation cam form under it.
2: moisture / vapor barrier. Procured, going up soon.
3: insulation. I am looking at this for the roof ATM. not able to go thick here but a couple of inches ( 50 mm ) i can fit in there.
That should also work a lot better than a thin layer of wood.
4: ceiling cladding also found some, will need a barrier between us and the insulation ( rock / glass wool ) will need to have this ready to go the moment we start on the insulation process.

5: sides are sort of on hold, but fitting 100 mm / 4" in there should not be a problem.

I just intensely dislike working this time of the year, and not least outside, also pitch dark when you start, and pitch dark when you get off / stop.

Almost wishing for more global warming, CUZ where we shoot, it is higher up than 90 % of Denmark, so rising water levels no immediate worry.
