What did you do airgun related today.

Not today, but a couple of days ago, I killed two flies within two hours while practicing for rmac. I’d like to say I just castrated them but no ones buyin’ That one, lol.
The cluster of shots surrounding fly 1, that was me trying to pop fly 2 as he was lickin’ up fly 1 guts. Probably got tired of the brush by’s, so he flew up to the top of the backer. Had to adjust for the slight breeze, and pop, fly 2 gone.

Shot my "New To Me" Impact M3 in .25 Cal 600mm today. And I was in TOTAL AMAZEMENT and DISBELIEF with the outcome......What an adventure.
I have discovered that the majority of my other PCP's will be gathering dust for a while!
This thing is a frigging BEAST! It shot every single pellet and slug I have in my inventory BEAUTIFULLY!
I mean even the El Cheapo Vortex Strikes. Grouping EVERYTHING really tight. Give or take an occasional flyer, but thats to be expected at some point.
Looking forward to fine tuning this pig and printing even smaller groups.

BTW just picked up 3 tins of 13 gr KO and 2 tins of domed 10.4 gr deadcenter pellets for my M8 to try in his anemic 4.5 mm rifles.

Also sort of related CUZ i do think i wil do a little filming at the range with the new camera, a 3 prong to 1/4" adapter so i can put the camera on my further away stick ( do not call them selfie sticks CUZ i would never use a camera like that.

New camera do suffer from OMG large sensor on fixed focus action camera issue, so really you should not go too close with the damn thing.
Or if you need to do that, put on a diopter lens.

Rained hard all morning but let up in the afternoon so I broke out my new .22 Steyr H5, installed the 1/2 inch threaded moderator adapter and took it out back to test the sound level with three different moderators. I will admit that all three were approximately the same (FX Donny FL, Alteros and a Huggett Astille) This rifle is really too loud to be back yard friendly (for me) My wife complained about the noise and thought the neighbors would get upset. Next, I broke out the .177 Daystate M4 and charged up the battery. I quickly re-zeroed the scope and then popped four English Sparrows about 25 yards away (on Power 2) then switched to Hi Power and knocked down four starlings in a dead cotton wood tree top 50 yards away. It is almost unfair this rifle is so accurate (a lot has to do with the electronic trigger, as those who have electronic Daystate's can attest.) I have a Huggett moderator on it and it just whispers a muted retort.

Decided to pack up the car and go to my buddies place. Nice to mix in some shooting with someone else every now and then. Doing everything out of the ordinary today. He has more space than me so I brought the Marauder .25 and got that dialed in at 30 yards with super cheap Apollo ammo. Mixed in some springer and pumper shooting with his gamo silent cat, and daisy 856. Solid way to spend a few hours. Also set up a nice starling bait station at his place , so next time I come back there should be live targets if he keeps it stocked.

More backyard whack-a-mo in the dead cottonwood tree top with the .177 Daystate Mk4. Too much fun.
I love my biathlon lever rifles, but there is something so satisfying about a bolt rifle. I think its one of the reasons I like my CZ200's so much.
I also really enjoy shooting 177, just something about it.

Broke out the .22 Daystate Airwolf. Air up the tank to a full 230 BAR then checked the March scope for proper cross hair level. Set up in my catbird seat on the back porch and dropped every starling that lighted in the top of my neighbor's (two houses down the block from me) dead cotton wood tree. That thing is a starling magnet.

A few days ago I got a new TX200 and wanted to compare it to my HW77K as to which was the easiest and most fun to shoot. First off the trigger and accuracy of the TX is super, however cocking and loading, and fiddling with the bearcat button is not so much fun. Shot the HW77K and cocking and loading is much easier by far. So for me the HW77K wins the over all fun factor. Still got to like the TX200 as it's my most expensive springer I now own. Today I gave the TX200 another chance to work better and I noticed the rubber but plate showed a gap at the bottom
so I carefully retightened the screw.
Shot three pellets and the gap reappeared. The wood screw had to be over tighten at the factory as it had stripped the wood. I should have sent it back for a refund but I chose to keep it and super glued the butt in place. Of course got some on the stock and so far with Brit guns I have have all been a real bad experience. Tomorrow I'll give it another test and see if anything else screws up. Charles
