What did you do airgun related today.

It’s all 3d printed, so don’t beat it up too much.
Thanks for the info , I just checked out his site and it looks like a no go on that stock for a 1720t
He does have something for the marauder/1720t but I am looking for something a little more minimalistic. I think I'll send him an email.

No shooting today, younger brother dropped off his 2240 for some face lift, lol. Tired of the CF bottle, he now wants an Airmega 200 cc tank. I'm making an off set adapter with built in 20 cc plenum and will use a Notos regulator. Now need to change gears on the lather so I can cut the thread M30*1.5 mm.

Rained hard all morning but let up in the afternoon so I broke out my new .22 Steyr H5, installed the 1/2 inch threaded moderator adapter and took it out back to test the sound level with three different moderators. I will admit that all three were approximately the same (FX Donny FL, Alteros and a Huggett Astille) This rifle is really too loud to be back yard friendly (for me) My wife complained about the noise and thought the neighbors would get upset. Next, I broke out the .177 Daystate M4 and charged up the battery. I quickly re-zeroed the scope and then popped four English Sparrows about 25 yards away (on Power 2) then switched to Hi Power and knocked down four starlings in a dead cotton wood tree top 50 yards away. It is almost unfair this rifle is so accurate (a lot has to do with the electronic trigger, as those who have electronic Daystate's can attest.) I have a Huggett moderator on it and it just whispers a muted retort.
The Weihrauch is best choice

My Starling deeks really brought in the birds today. The fly right in and plop down into the yard amidst the deeks. I pressed my .20 Daystate Huntsman Regal into action after my Zebroia Hortitsia lost power. The Daystate slayed 'em with highly accurate, withering fire. It was quite hot today and the flies quickly began their work at starting the decomposition cycle as I left the dead to act as more decoys.

I worked on my Zbroia Hortitsia which has no youtube videos (that I can find) on disassembling the rifle. I figured out how to de-air the cylinder from a Zbroia video. The grub screw that you turn to release the air has a small shiny ball bearing beneath it, which will fall out and get lost if you are not careful. Two screws hold the stock to the action and trigger assembly. One screw is reached by slipping your allan wrench through a hole on top of the receiver. I discovered I had a breech seal blow out and get stuck in one of my magazines and I was going to remove the barrel (by loosening two grub screws on the top of the receiver, but one of the 2mm Allen head screws stripped, so I ordered an easy out set of bit on Amazon. I was able to replace the breech O-ring without removing the barrel. I also found several old, mashed pellets that fell out of the action as I was turning it up and down and around looking inside the breach. How they got in there I cannot tell.

Today I took advantage of calm wind and mild temperature,
Fwb300 at 25 yards, 5 shot groups on each target sticker the upper left hand group was cold bore and adjustment of scope.
. As for the hanging washers to the right serves 2 purposes,
1. Challenge is not to hit washers its to put rounds through the holes in the washers, ( yes i have done it repeatedly)
2. The second is to hit the string not the washer. ( That is difficult)
Not bad for a 10 meter rifle, IMO!

Been working around the house like a madman, trying to get some much needed chores around the house done before leaving for RMAC. Told my wife all physically demanding stuffs I need to stop today, Wednesday, to give my body a chance to heal up. This was my final project, and let me tell you, doing this myself on a cane with a 75% fused spine, on uneven ground with left foot drop foot wasn’t easy. Most of you all would’ve had this done in a day, but it took me 2.5 days. Felt good to be out there, and I saved $$ by not hiring it out-

So today, before the wind started to pick up I did a final sight in for RMAC with my Skout in 30 cal at 50 yards. Once set, I took it out to a hundred and shot two rounds thru each of the 25 targets and set my speed. Just as I had one target to go another fly lands on the target. They must be attracted to the punch holes or something.

There was a slight breeze blowing out in the field I shoot at so I held off like I had for the target previous, and lo and behold, fly #3 fell to the Skout!

IMG_9068.jpeg

Half of the fly decided to “hang out”, lol, so I quickly got out there to retrieve the target before one of his buddies made out with him.

I told a good friend earlier who I shared this pic with that I don’t share it to be boasting on my abilities as a shooter, no FF’n way. I still have a lot to learn and a long way to go to get to where I want to be as a competitive target shooter. I put up and share fly kill pics to show the testament of this Skout rifle, and how it performs. Shooting a critter this small is not an easy feat; your gun and its ammo must be in tip top performance in order to make a shot like this. The gun itself, I feel, is totally ready for competition. Skout has created a gun that is just incredible, so much so it impresses me everyday.
Look at this shot string-
IMG_9042.png

136 shots with a 9 fps spread, from pellets straight out of the tin, untethered. At shot number 44, I remember looking at the chrony and at that moment it only had a 4 fps spread!!

Love my mk2 impact, but it has never performed at this level. In fact, none of my other PCP’s have. Simply an amazing gun with so much potential.

Just arrived, Labradar LX. It has worked very well with connected to the App
I burned some 8.44 gr. I forgot my tank at home, so this is at the end of a fill so the rifle was going off the reg.
I had to try it out

nice shooting! I wonder if they will allow you to pin some fly's on your targets at RMAC ? (aim small miss small)

I’m gonna dip a squirt bottle in one of the rest stop bathrooms on my way to utah, and gather some specimen, then when the range master tells the shooters to set out their flags I’m gonna go do a squirt at all the 25 bullseyes on my target card!

Kidding, lol. Can you imagine the wind switching up and blowing that juice back at me as I sprayed the target?

Reactions: coastal drifter
What did you do today?

Sort pellets?
Mount a scope?
Shoot a rifle you have not had out in awhile?
Checked some seals?
Checked to make sure all screws are tight?
You name it.

I’m trying to stay away from the buy/receive haha
This thread is to promote what you already have.

I took my Pard NV008 off my Notos and put it on my P35 25 cal. I zeroed using my ZB mount to my required distances. I also set up a camera to alert me to the critters I’m after. There are some larger critters that need some lead at night. I also plan on installing the plenum and barrel kit as well as some buck rail stuff on the notos.
Not pellet rifle related but I mounted my trail cam in the back yard and was really impressed with the first evening pictures.

While rooting through the gun closet this morning I pulled out the SK19 in .22. I hadn't used it around two years, switched over to Hubens. To surprise it hadn't leaked down, still had 200bar in it. This is from a gun that Gave me and AoA fits trying to hold air. Aired it up and ran about half a tin of CHPs through it. Narry a misfire or jamb and was still zeroed in.
