Does falling down a pcp rabbit hole and finding this forum count?! Ive now spent countless hours trying to decide on my first pcp.

What are you intending to is it for, and what can you often use it for? It could be two different things.

I bought a 25 cal once with the intention of getting into 50 and 100 yard shooting. Life happened and I have a son now. Now I do most of my shooting in my yard and that 25 cal has been sold. Haha. Now I pest and target shoot up to 30 yards. It’s not all bad, 177 and 22 cal are much cheaper!

Had some fun with the Notos today. I don't get to shoot much. Practiced ranging for HFT. Definitely not the ideal tool, but good enough for me for occasional FT. I was doing best at 35-40yds. There were deer hanging out at various times back at the corn (almost 150yrds) and they didn't care unless I lobbed a round back closer to them.

Took 12 pest birds from 43 to 55 yards with my Pathfinder XR, while my wife read a book sitting on my pickup trucks tailgate… She could hear the “thwacks” at impact and the “thump” as they hit the lower roofs…

Today was my first outing with my Bog Death Grip and Little Crow Gunworks ball head. I believe I shot quite well for my initial attempt. Additionally, I was zeroed at 100 yards, though I had a moderator which I forgot to bring, haha. AEA 357 Big Bore, 142gr NSA.

Took out a small agama on my shed with my PP700SA. It’s been a target rich environment since ordering a rifle to replace the PP700 as my primary pest gun.

Received a Thomas HFT rifle from a fellow AGN member.
Saweeeet.
Did a quick preliminary set up by adding a scope, and shoulder butt.
I'll get a quick zero tonight at 30 and then work out the finer details when it is still/calm and predictable.
She hits the scales at 13 lbs with scope and hamster and a barricade stop. May put her on a diet or better yet... start lifting weights to train my shoulder capsule muscles and arm muscles to actually do what i want them to... hold steady in the forced lanes.

nice range !
what i do for FT is have a few cheap targets . i walk out setting them out at random distances . No reset strings , just shoot and walk to reset , exercise and thinking what i just did or didn't do .
P.S. you can range find After you shoot if you had trouble with a target .

I discovered that my new "parallax free" red dot pistol sight, Holosun HS507C-X2, is not really parallax free, having a fairly large parallax error at 10 yards. And in researching the discovery, found this video...

72 yards to the top of the hay shed…. 1/2 dozen collared doves ate a 45 gr Hades for dinner. Dialed 1.5 mils (920fps 45yd zero) and held .5(ish) right wind.

I'm trying to turn my Notos into a low power lizard killer. I cut two sections of the HS off and turned the reg down to about 1000 psi. Its still early in this process. I will see how it groups tonight.
I didn't have it set up the best for chrony, I was just hand holding it in pistol form today. Just some fast and quick to see approximately where I am. I am going to bump up the reg a little. I'd like to be at 10 FPE.

I was going to make a barrel tensioner for my Rainson X, ran out of 7075 material. So in the meantime I'm back working on the 22xx project again. Final grip fitment, removed pressure point then final finishing.
