What did you do airgun related today.

Put my gk1 together and shot an amazing 40yd groups with the VK .223 28.5gr slugs at 770fps under half an inch! The bottom shot was a pulled shot, we still have storm clouds coming and going and my golf cart got pushed around a bit.

Well not much yet, but i have picked up 2 little plastic bags of blue and Yellow UV active color pigment, i am fixing to make myself some tracer rounds for when my day / night scope arrive.

Yellow more green if you ask me, and phone camera do not make it better.

I have tried to capture shooting tracers, but i have not been able to capture them in video or photos, but with the naked eye you see them just fine, well out to 100 yards or so then it start to get hard even if the glow are very strong. ( like a regular green 3 mm LED in strength )
Do look pretty cool and did make me " wish i had a semi auto "

Night scope probably capture them just fine.

Hogs traveling the creek bed behind our properties
Well trespassing Bacon,,,,, better watch out.

Mounted this new Athlon Argos BTR Gen2 10-40x56 on my unregulated Reximex Daystar .177 and sighted it in.

The 5-shot group on the brown cardboard were shots 2,3,4,5,6 with the new scope. It measured .26” edge to edge. Distance is 30 yards with 10.3g FX pellets.

I was looking for a budget target scope for some of my less expensive PCPs and I think I found it. Its SFP and reticle is extremely fine - so good for 30 and 40 yard challenge targets.

Can’t believe an AGN member sold me this rifle for $450 with less than a tin of pellets through it. I needed to tune it (hammer spring shortened and internals polished), but he had won the .177 barrel lottery and didn’t know it - this thing is ridiculously accurate and consistent. I’ve shot multiple 200s in 30-Yard Challenge with it.

This sick thing is that its too windy to target shoot today 13-28mph winds - and it still shoots 1/4” groups at 30 yards. Can’t wait for a better shooting day.

Total noob, patch worming a NIB hw35e.
First couple after a wet one came out nice and black.
Several followed with a brown color.
I did another balistol soaked patch and several dry. This is what I’m looking at and asking if I should be concerned and how to proceed. Thanks so much.

That’s clean enough- you got the shipping gunk out.

Now get some lead downrange and lead in that springer’s barrel.

Learning on my first digital scope, it is not quite the same as regular optics.
So i will not be selling my glass, but i can see some digital sniping in the future, also often at night here, near dead calm, so i can now take advantage of that.

Mind you i have not yet tried to shoot my 2" targets at 100 or 134 yards, i for sure think i will be able to hit them, but i dont think i am close enough to see the misses on the cardboard backing, so that might be a buzz kill.

My son, Ndwind and I went on a walk to try and find some squirrels and critters. Though none were found, we did smack some steel from 50-200 yards with the guns.

My son is really liking my Dawson...and honestly it scares me! At 200 yards I was making hits with the 25 caliber pellets!

Wrote a packing list,
airport arrival instructions,
an emergency information sheet,
and a Guide how to get your gun gear safely through customs....

...for an AGN member for his first visit to Peru!

PS: Oh, and I red-dotted a pigeon with the GK1 that had announced its presence through careless cooing.
