What did you do airgun related today.

I drove through the battle field that our 11 million people city presents a few days before Christmas (think "Boston traffic" — but with all drivers being either taxi or bus drivers).

I drove to the biggest airgun store in the country (which is twice the size of Texas).
That store has about as many airguns, scopes, and pellet choices as your average Walmart.

There, I picked up the airgun goodies that a colleague of mine wanted to buy for himself and his boys for Christmas.

As this store is known for its catastrophic packing practices (and their "not our fault"-attitude when a rifles arrive at the customer's home with a shattered wood stock) — I spent some quality time with cardboard boxes, bubble wrap, and packing tape.

And then I sent the packages off to my colleague in Cuzco, the sacred city of the Incas, a day's trip away from the airgun store.

Airgunning in Peru needs all the help it can get.... 💪🏼

Climbed up the ladder to my attic with laser distance measuring device. Measured 10m distance from house end wall. Then measured total length of maximum, possible indoor shooting range.

22.5m (74ft or 24.6yd). That leaves me room for shooting table behind measuring point.

Then set up target and "shooting table" at 10m to sight in red dot on my PP700S-A. I myself sitting on a bucket and pistol resting on a bag that rested on the edge of that children dining chair. Not the sturdiest setup. But I got my red dot zeroed.

Next to my finger, those 2 lower shots were taken, then adjusted red dot Up 1 click. Then shot that 4 shot group (starting to run out of air for 5th shot).

Need to figure out better way than ladder, to get up in the attic. Not fun to drop a gun/pistol...

Very nice! are you going to put a few sheets of plywood up there to make a floor to make a little more room?

I love the PP700SA, makes me want to break mine out again.

Im in same boat and got a regulator creep
My reg is solid, but this leak has me going, it's so SLOOOOOOOW. I haven't had time to find the right 0-rings. The leak really doesn't matter when I'm shooting but I lose expensive precious air over the course of a few days, I've got other things to do than to fire up the air compressor to refill my bottle/tank.

Tore into new-to-me Crown Mk2… before I even scoped it.

Polished up trigger, hammer and spring… adjusted internal hammer preload… adjusted trigger to 6.5 ounces with two “stages” (FX stages, lol) and polished brass lead of barrel to make pellet loading as smooth as possible. Smoothed out edges of pellet transfer port in barrel, hoping to “smooth“ airflow.

Then put it under Christmas tree - as its my .25 Red Ryder BB gun that my wife is gifting me 😉

I'm seeing making the walk way wider, sealing up the insulation, don't want to be breathing that dust, and a chunk of steel or thick aluminum as a solid back stop. Your pellets will chew right through those logs. A nice bench, and it looks like you're building stairs. Oh and a heater? Enjoy

Today I have a meeting with a local rifle range. I am going to see about basing my field target club at there range. Holding competitions and building a corse. I first want to see how it looks from the ground. But from google earth it’s good.
They allow the public to shoot for 15 dollars a day. So that could be the entry fee. I need to sort out NRA AAFTA insurance . Have both and see if it’s enough plus the waiver.
AAFTA is super helpful with that .
My Face book group has 18 members in two months. I am guessing 150-200 members will produce 6-10 people that show up . And that might be a stretch.
But first I need to see if I can use the range. It’s close to my house.
