What did you do airgun related today.

I put sling studs and a bipod mount and sling on my DRS .25 synthetic today. This is quickly becoming my all time favorite air rifle. Such a fun gun to carry around the mountains and tundra!

Climbed up the ladder to my attic with laser distance measuring device. Measured 10m distance from house end wall. Then measured total length of maximum, possible indoor shooting range.

22.5m .

My friend have a little bit more according to googles measuring tape.
He do have a solid floor above what was once pig pens i assume, later goats / donkeys and what not.
And while there is stuff up there, you can easy walk 2 guys side by side to put up new papers.

I ran my Two over with a few flavors of ammo on the chrono in the living room, the newly released tuning video of Epic airguns made me do it.
First and foremost as i though i was backed all the way back on the hammer spring, but i was not it would seem CUZ i can literally back the adjuster all the way out of the thread.

Anyway so far back and even a bit further forward and the balanced valve will still not trigger even with just 60 BAR in front of the valve, but a little more adjustments and BAM you are in business.

Then i restocked my ammo box, and threw in a tin of H&N FT pellets for the hell of it

It look to be pretty nice pew - pew weather on the other side of X-mas, cold but not sub zero so with the stove going in the shed it should be comfortable, also days short so if you do not have a NV kit, well not many hours to shoot in daylight, and for damn sure if you only sleep a few hours around noon.

PS. to ease things changing ammo, i have put the REG setting and resulting speed on a sticker on the bottom of the tins, on top is the ammo model and weight.
So i now know to shoot 10 grain JSB slugs or 13.43 MRD pellets, i need 60 BAR on the REG to get 980 and 865 fps in speed.
80 BAR on the REG give me 980 fps with 13 grain Zan slugs.
From those base settings it should be very little additional tweaking to be on target.

Spent some quality time learning to do something really silly, as in Read the &^%$# instructions to my new FX True Ballistics Chrono. FINALLY managed to get the thing to accept the update, todays hint grow a third arm/hand or use your non dominate hand to hold the power button in as the update loads. Getting the necessary software on a Mac is fun, then using Google Chrome, more joy, then navigating the FX site, yet more fun. Net result is, Finally got the update loaded, didn't even have to have any Christmas libation to get it . Now for the fun part, seeing if my iPad will connect. I know the iPhone does, then out I go to test it, before it rains tomorrow.

Damn, this thread got left behind a bit lol. I shot my U2 compact for the last time today, and shot my U2 700 while pesting iguanas.

Packed the U2 Compact, sample slugs, and scope rings and dropped them off at UPS. All to different members here.

Ordered a GX CS4i compressor, and stopped by @PalmBeachAirguns for some air, and there was a gentlemen from Head Shots that invited us to go shoot at an HFT match on February 22nd.

Also I will be installing a Hajimoto 2 stage trigger on my UX G2 .30 carbine

i got a wet butt.

I loaded up the Ryker with my air pump, battery, and bulldog, went out into the desert and pretended to sight in my scope as I plinked at a dumped pile of old power lines and railroad ties, 50-60 yards away. After circling it to make sure it was actual trash, and wasn't someone's camp, or city/county/state "storage!" Even the power company uses the desert as a dump...

First chance I've had to actually get out and shoot the Bulldog. I expected more (some?) kick, shoulder fired. Now, I'm not sure if it's because the shoulder it was against has no feeling, or if there really was no kick. I instinctively countered the barrel rise, that kinda' dropped the first Diabolo round in the dirt, about 5 feet in front of the stick I was shooting at. My watch registered around 80db with both the Nosler .357 and the Diabolo .35 ... Like my designated marksman friend said "that's a mighty fine, and quiet, gun!" I'm going to hurry up and get through the Diabolos... I ordered 200, and I'm not liking them.

Re-sealed my Crosman 1720 bottle build cause it had a slow leak, and I actually found a nicked o-ring on the valve head. It tool several attempts to re-install successfully, had to break out the needle files for the drop block anchor holes, warm up the tube, silicone greased the new oring, and got 'er done. Been holding 4350 psi since 9 am.

Moved on to another leaker, pray for me.
