What did you do airgun related today.

Where you hunters are always making things shorter to have more maneuverability in the brush. I can no longer hunt , so I am looking to always improve accuracy , and shot count , but I'm telling you this tiny little thing is just so awesome with it's folding stock , and little bottle. I would love to get a new micro and put a double tube side by side under the barrel , or a small bottle like that one.
Like this I built for my brother, he wanted it similar to Hatsan Jet 2 with a lot more power.

Thanks!.. would love to see it…Im mulling a project myself…something simple, as it’s a new realm for me. I do have a machining background, but we will see how marine machining translates. John
Good man.....I've no machining background John, just some basic kit I've put the hours in on at home, over the last 4 or 5yrs. Where there is a will there is a way, and I look forward to seeing what you come up with sir👍

So much has happened the last 3 days.

Took a couple guys hunting iguanas.

Fine tuned my U2 600mm .177 at the current tune shooting 16gr griffins at 990fps avg (35fpe) and 917fps avg with 20gr (37fpe) while still getting over 70 shots from 300b - 135b. Also shot 2 fantastic groups at 211yds. 3-3.5" group with 20gr and half moa with 16gr

Finally figured out the Akela .177 was shooting harsh because of the AR tune kit. I placed them both with stock springs although the hammer spring is now 2.47". It'll shoot from 890-940-890 from 3000-1900 with 10.43gr pellets but it LOVES 13gr griffins and 15gr VK slugs (.1771 size)

Put a new donny fx can on my new Throne Gen 2 .22, and put a 580cc bottle on it as well, shot fx 25.4gr and atomic pellets through it and both shoot great out to 100yds although at different hammer spring settings.

Shot about 70 iguanas in the last 3 days which doesn't seem like much, but it's been reaaaally slow.

I've organized my car from the mess of airgun parts being all over the place, filled tanks and guns (6) atleast twice.

I'm probably forgetting something lol

Nice. What’s sound like of the Throne? I guess what I’m asking if it has a loud ping?

No ping whatsoever, it has almost a fart sound to it when you shoot it though. Not loud, but also not quiet, didn't really like it, so I put a can on it and it's much quieter now. I think the baffle inside the shroud would benefit from some felt wrap

I whish 3d printing had voice command like Hey printer make some sunshades for my scope , or some flip up caps for my scope , and I'm sure it's more difficult than that , and I have a basic understanding of how they work. You have to write a program for each thing you make ?
There are tons of free files that people have designed and posted. If you have ideas for a particular creation you will have to design it yourself. There is a free web based program called Tinkercad that I have been learning and trying with. It has tutorials built in that you can take. It's easier than you think but it does take some thought, time, measurements, trial and error , etc.

It's a rabbit hole for the rabbit hole you're already in 😂

I played with my Benji 397 and slugs. At just shy of 10 yards in my basement, I printed the following groups using JSB K.O slugs (10.03gr) while shooting standing offhand. Honestly, the hardest pard about shooting the Benji well is the trigger. Anyway, I took 15 shots, 5 at each target. Who says you need a $2000+ PCP rifle to shoot slugs?

Nice! I have a 2nd .177 Akela on the way from AR. At first I thought I’d use it as spare parts for my Akela, Cayden and Rexi Daystar (all essentially the same action). Now I think I’m gonna do some real lightweight spring experimentation and do a 700fps type tune on this 2nd .177 Akela - see what type of shot string I can get at say 12 ft/lbs….

I’m really interested in the accuracy results from your new Rexi Throne…

… my experience to date is that Rexi rifles give the best accuracy per dollar of any brand I’ve used. Not sure if I just hit the barrel lottery with my Rexis or if they are all great performers per dollar.

So far, things are pretty good with the Rexi Throne the fact that it likes fx 25.4gr threw me off. It also likes hades and 25gr hn hp2 slugs. Gotta see if I can show some real results. This week for y'all.

Have you thought about installing a reg on the one coming in? It'll be nice for sub12 given sub12airgunners video.

I love my 392 , and very glad it did not sell , because soon after I took down the ad my Vevor Compressor broke.

I shot 3 PCPs today, the Impact M3 600mm .22 is by far the quietest of them. Shoots the 18gr JSBs 900fps. reg is set around 70 bar and if I didn't chrono it, I'd swear it was barely shooting. all I hear is the click from the action/hammer.

You must be getting near 250 shots off a fill

For low power I like 15.89gr putting about that much fpe. Keeps guns dead quiet, and they have a flat enough trajectory to shoot out to good distances.
Yes, I made him a custom moderator for it also plus it has an internal air stripper to reduce muzzle pressure and tension the barrel for rigidity.
