What did you do airgun related today.

Clean up my 250 27 RF NOE mold yesterday and poured some samples that averaged 27.40. I tested them in the Avenger and they made one hole groups at 25yds, The plan is to fire the Castin' Shack up today and pour a few hundo with the 4 cav mold.
Next on the list will be the 217 24 RF magnums for the .22 guns. Think I'll get the .22 QB bottled gun out to shoot during casting breaks.

Bill sorry to change subject on you but saw a question you asked elsewhere. Pa has amazon shipping as the lowest cost option, if you do not specify a different shipper they use amazon. I made that mistake once and it took over a week to get a package that a week before with usps took 2 days. Mark

Thanks for that info.. I didn't realize that Amazon was an option that could be changed... I'm was just used to placing the order and paying the shipping so I didn't look at the options. I will next time.

Traded AOA for a Brocock Sniper HR Magnum 22, and it arrived today. I have a standard HR 22, but never had a magnum. It came tuned pretty hot at 40 fpe, shooting 18.1gr pellets @ 985 fps, with an extreme spread of 5 fps! Whoa, those poly barrels shoot gooooood!
Reg was set @ 150 bar, and hammer turned up about 2 full turns in from flush. So, I cut the reg to 100 bar, and backed the hammer out to flush, and it shot 15 shots with no shots in between tuning, at 850 fps with an es of 5.4 fps.

These gun are just awesome! It is cold as all get out today, and wind gusting to 24 mph according to the weather. I shot two less than 5/8" groups at 30 m in a stiff, gusty wind. I never pick up a Brocock that it doesn't bring a smile to my face.

Took a group of 3 hunting iguanas, weather wasn't optimal and we've been doing a good amount of hunting in this location recently so we only managed to find 16 of them, but we got a 5.5 footer, 10 were 3.5'-4.8' 4 under 3'.

Tuned the Vulcan 3 .30 to shoot hybrids at 921 for 4 consecutive shots, by rasing the reg to 160 and flipping the plenum tube. Sighted in my buddies p35 .25 with jsb 25gr for the hunt, as well as the zelos .22 with hn hp2 25gr slugs and my akela .177 with 15gr VK.

Wait, V3? I though U2?!

*e: ah well, checking the date before replying would have made sense I guess ;)
Yessir, although I am now incredibly impatiently waiting for my u2 .177 as it should arrived yesterday, then today, and it has yet to leave customs in Apeldoorn. Did I mention it left the facility, made it to Germany and then went back to the facility? Yeah I have no clue what's going on 😒

Oh man that sucks!! Mine was here super fast… ah well, waiting with you to see how your valve adjuster looks like, though likely not as impatiently as you :) what I am waiting for more impatiently is 1. the freaking snow/ice to melt away and 2. wind to maybe stop being 15mph with 30 or higher gusts every single day… been like this for a week now and doesn’t seem to get better. Sucks.

Wow, that blows! I am also currently waiting on some griffin 20gr and 23gr slugs, hopefully they shoot well enough to somewhat counter winds of 20mph (wishful thinking).

I wouldn't be so impatient if they simply said "hey you're rifle will be there in 12-14days) but the changing of days and then "we'll let you the date when we figure it out" is what's getting to me lol.

Yeah, we'll see how it differs.

Woah, that’s heavy tiny grenades! Fingers crossed that they shoot out of it :)

What did you do today?

Sort pellets?
Mount a scope?
Shoot a rifle you have not had out in awhile?
Checked some seals?
Checked to make sure all screws are tight?
You name it.

I’m trying to stay away from the buy/receive haha
This thread is to promote what you already have.

——-

I took my Pard NV008 off my Notos and put it on my P35 25 cal. I zeroed using my ZB mount to my required distances. I also set up a camera to alert me to the critters I’m after. There are some larger critters that need some lead at night. I also plan on installing the plenum and barrel kit as well as some buck rail stuff on the notos.
Finally decided to put my AA S500XS carbine back into its GRS stock. Remounting my Athlon Heras 6-24x56 SFP.
Sightron S-Tac shown
Scopewerks made a nice hybrid 6” mag wheel for it.

Nice, what power was that running at? 6 to 7fpe? I've about 40cc of volume (about 28gr of Co2) to play with, similar to a QB78 (bulk filled) so 'IF' I can get a good fill, hoping for 40... to an optimistic 50.... shots per fill at 11fpe (summer use). These figures are loosely based on getting 300fpe per 20gr of Co2 which is well below what some folks claim to get from modded 12gr sets ups.....
Just the stock power I don't have a Chronograph yet.
