What do u prefer to hunt with pellets or slugs

I can say that I think both have a purpose depending on range needs and surroundings. Right now for me is pellets but I might see my next air rifle does with slugs

Hunting for sure slugs, as well as target shooting. My impact mk2 25cal prefers the nsa 36.2 slugs and my pulsar prefers the nsa 12.5 and the 15gr slugs. I have not shot pellets in a long time because I am getting better performance from the above mentioned nsa slugs.

All depends on the hunting style, distance and safety concerns. At the plains I sometime hunt at the distance tween close and far shots could be over 100 yards so I go with slugs to be able to reach out in the wind. Closer more dense forest I probably will stick with pellets in case of a ricochet.

Depends upon the animal I’m hunting, range, weather (wind), and the gun. @qball pretty much covered other concerns.

For hunting it's slugs all the way. They have a higher bc, which carries more energy and typically is better in more windy situations.

Pellets only. They get the job done for anything I am hunting. Raccoons, Foxes, Tree Rats, Ground squirrels, Rabbits have all fallen. Most targets less than 50 yards. Some tree rats at 75 max. Have no desire to shoot slugs. Glad that those who do now have some quality product to use.

All my pesting or hunting is sub 100 yards, 90% inside of 60 yards, nothing bigger than a woodchuck. Pellets do what I need done, while slugs are tempting I just don't need to use them. If I really needed slugs? Out comes my CZ452 .22 LR, shorts, CB Caps, sub sonics... Lots of choices thank goodness.

For pesting in my small yard (less than 1/4 acre) which is in a residential area with many similar lots, pellets make the most sense. Slugs simply are not needed at these distances and considering the targets, chipmunks, rats, etc.

I can ONLY shoot pellets. Both my guns are FX Original Smooth Twist barrels (Boss & Royale 500). I thought I was missing something by not being able to sling slugs but I'm way over it. The accuracy (& kill count) for both my guns is phenomenal & I do very well with them. Have to admit though, the slugs hit incredibly hard & the energy dump into prey is devastating but I'm perfectly satisfied with "pellet slingers" that ALWAYS deliver when I do my part.

Pellets for no wind to light windy days and slugs for windy and to touch critters farther out.

I started shooting .25 cal H&N Grizzlies out of my Airforce Condor SS in 2015.
I have never went back to pellets.
NSA slugs 29 gr. in .25 caliber and 49.5 gr. .30 caliber.
I find them to be extremely accurate out my of my Impact MKII.
I have tried other brands but I prefer NSA slugs.
