What do you think is the best budget scope?

She loves red dots and is very accurate at 10 yards and good enough to hunt at 15......However the Grey squirrels at our ranch are fast and usually 25 yards is the closest you get before they run to the other side of the tree and excape. I basically just want her to have at least 3x preferably 4x to make longer shots. I think red dots are excellent for shooting things on the move but I don't do that anymore and don't allow her to do that either..... For the exception of using shotguns but I really hammer in the importance of precise shots that give a quick death.

The recent bumped threads about Immersive Optics made me think of their 5x24 for your daughter. Huge FOV to follow squirrel darting around but you get to take your shot with 5x power.

I don't recall their price without the mount but I think it comes it around $200. Not sure if you'd need their extended mount for a Talon P.

I wanted something light to put on my AEA HP Carbine. So I tried one of the "new" prismatic scopes for only $50. Didn't want to spend $3-400 for one of the fancy ones. Light, 4X magnification, and a very wide FOV. Great for someone who might have difficulty learning to use a scope. It's a little blurry around the very edges, but other than that a great value. IDK if it's springer rated, don't know what you are putting it on...

For low budget I like the centerpoint 3-12×44 side focus 30mm scope. It can be had anywhere from 60$ - 100$ . I'd do like my alpha6 though but by my standards that's an expensive scope. I know many spend a whole lot more then this but for what I shoot I cant justify great glass. Most of my guns are the low price point guns under 400$ they all are great shooters they're just not as refined as my dreamline or other expensive guns. I'm patient and wait this the newest gun is just a memory for most then I buy one. All the issues have an answer by then so it really works out well for me.

@ Raden1943,
You Nailed from the start! Go with what you know! Excellent choice for a hunting scope - hold overs rule the day for the hunting you describe.

It’s for his daughter & she more than likely will be shooting off hand. Relatively low magnification & light weight will score her many hits and further her interest in marksmanship. Most of all, she will spend time with Dad and learn useful skills.

You are a lucky man Sir! There is No greater gift than a child!
May the sun shine brightly upon both of your shoulders.

Thanks man. She is the best thing that ever happened to me. Shooting with her makes me relive all the hours of shooting my dad did with my brother and I. Shooting airguns is my favorite but soon she's going to upgrade to powder burners. I had her shoot a 410 that my dad bought for her but it kicked a bit too much for her and I don't want her to develop a flinch.
