What do you think of this PCP design concept?
The B.A.M.A.C.H PCP Rifle
Below is totally made up. Just a concept I thought a few hours ago and wanted to share.
The B.A.M.A.C.H PCP Rifle Bolt And Mag Advancing Charging Handle Rifle
The best full gas and spring functioning full auto pcp rifle design is the Hatsan Blitz. Its a very simple an brilliant system to spit pellets full auto using no batteries as other pcp rifles have used in past. However the design has some limitations and drawbacks for its full auto capability. One drawback is that in order to cycle the semi/full auto function some of that precious gas pressure is used to perform that cycling function. It would be more efficient to use a differnt source of power to cycle the bolt. The second limitation is that the power source to advance pellets is within the mag itself. It would be nice to have a cycling power source outside of the mag. Having both of these concepts opens up the possablilites for belt driven mags, high capacity mags, and higher caliber pellets as well as increasing power per shot or increase in shot per fill in both semi and full auto function from a PCP rifle. The BAMACH pcp concept allows these possAbllities.
The B.A.M.A.C.H PCP is a design concept that advances both the bolt and the mag cycling using a single charge for multiple semi auto shots. The charging is done by a side charging handle much like the side charging handle of the AR. The One quick charge pull powers 20 rounds, 2 charge pulls power 40 rounds. The charge is stored with spring power that sits around the barrel. Each shot releases a bit of the spring charge to cycle the bolt and magazine. With this concept it is possible to have both full auto function with belt fed or mag fed pellets or slugs ( sig mpx style ). This design can offer firing of higher caliber pellets with high capacity. Sense the full auto does not rely on the gas pressure as the Blitz does it would also be possible to run a regulator and power adjustments with full auto function on lower pressures that what the Blitz can fire now.
The gun I picture in mind as a BAMACH PCP base model Hatsan Jet 2 PCP. What left of this concept to come to life is the secrete sauce of applying the spring function of the charging handle to power cycle both the belt drivin magazine and the bolt.
What say you?
