It is perfectly obvious to even a novice like myself that arzrover knows what he's talking about. I appreciate all his insight and advice as well as the others that have chimed in on this thread. I liken the purchase of a new airgun, or any big purchase for that matter, to a big upcoming vacation. The planning and anticipation is half the fun.
I may just scope up my .22 Marauder and attend the next HFT match and check out what everyone else has first. Of course, there's always the possibility of a moment of weakness after reading a review of a rifle I've had my eye on and I pull the trigger.
