I don't think I have ever seen a thread that had anything anonymous about it. I tried to create this one as an Anonymous post but it wouldn't let me, saying: Usernames must be unique. The specified username is already in use.
When or if it works, does it hide the name of the person who created it and the names of all those who reply, or just the people who reply? Can the person who started the post see the names of everyone who makes a contribution?
Though it isn't anything like this anonymous option, it made me think about another forum - non airgun themed - that I have frequented for many years that was not getting much traffic the last few years so they started allowing non registered people to start new threads and to respond to existing ones. Interestingly, so far I have not seen a single guest post since they implemented it.
