What got you started?

Two things got me involved.

First... my dad letting me shoot his Red Ryder.
Second... him telling me I CAN'T have one.

Never taunt someone with something so mesmerizing then tell them they can't have one.

I have had single stroke springers and crosman pump ups over the years but nothing real serious. In the summer of 2024 I had a pest issue where rimfires where too powerful. In Nov 2024 I bought my first PCP. It is now March 2025 and I own 7 PCP's , an air compressor and 6.8L tank. I am retired and enjoying these shooting options and AirGun Nation.

Shot break load springers as a kid. Been around rifles my whole life but don't actually own one. Trying to get back into shooting in a somewhat long term cost effective manner and be able to accomplish some pest control. This like any hobby can be a money black hole so hopefully I don't fall in

I found a tin of .177 pellets in my race audi S4 I got some years ago, car is long gone . But the shootig hobby don't..

How did you end up beginning this hobby? Squirrels raiding the family bird feeder? Target shooting and powder was too costly? What other reason?

Target shooting when an FX Tarantula beat my Kimber .22 SVT at 50 yards, on a calm day.
