What happened to BWalton?

A couple years ago I was going to buy a tuned gun from him. Emails back and forth, it was all good.

Then I went to a local airgun event and had 3 guys approach me with anger in their eyes and body language told me they weren't very happy. They asked me if I was BWalton, I said no I am not. They then told me that he owed each of them guns or money or both and wasn't returning their calls or emails.

That told me enough not to do business with him, and they way they approached me tells me that at some point BWalton is going to screw over the wrong person and get his comeuppance.

@kkarmical - just out of curiosity why would those 3 guys think you were BWalton?

Similar build, though I look nothing like Bwalton.

It was one of these moments 🤔😂😂😟

Tony, Excellent attitude and I'm certain any Dr. would agree.

I certainly miss the olden days in airguns ( couple of years ago) , if a custom tuner said "six weeks" turn around it was normally 5 or less. Pretty much everyone gave a "3 day inspection" time when selling used airguns, meum dictum pactum was just the way it was. And still many many of the same people/type's but ...........

Not too trust the Internet too much (this morning Abe Lincoln blog was nice tho) seems to be the one and same: https://www.rcgroups.com/forums/showthread.php?56641-Deal-pending-with-speed1013 anda federal complaint case # on page 2. Familiar ? http://www.angelfire.com/sports/neuspeed2001/

Complaints should be filed by those who can just to help the next person , time & mood permitting. I filed all proper complaints against "filarms", nada. What did work was insisting on a police report # (in my pop.2,000 town). They wanted to say "nope internet crime" told then I "just need a report# dont expect a thing else and it all started in my living room so" Report # on file I forwarded it out west to the County Sheriff. And at least the scam ended. Now IF I could have attached : https://www.ripoffreport.com/reports/specific_search/baxter%20walton it would'nt have hurt. Does this guy really have a CA real estate license ?

You kind of have to let it go. I just cannot maintain that kind of stress. I send him an email once in a while. He'll reply that he is out of town and will send the gun back to me when he gets back but never does. I guess I should try to file a fraud claim through USPS.

Good luck with that. I filed USPS fraud claims on three other crooks in our AG community for a total of about $1200. In each case I received confirmation the claim was received then crickets. Periodic following up got a "we are working on it" type of response. Rinse and repeat and 3 years later not any sort of information about the status. I could have contacted my US Representative (who sat on the USPS committee) but I decided it was best to just move on. I do remember their names and must admit I keep an eye out for them at AG shows and events.

Ditto. USPS won’t do a damn thing!

I was burned about 9 years ago over buying a vintage bicycle from a seller in Rising Sun, Maryland.

sent a postal MO. Received nothing after he cashed it. Had all supporting documents as well as the copy of the MO. Even a picture of his DL that he sent me via email to ease my mind that he was legit. Postal fraud since he used the USPS as a vehicle to commit his crime. Sent it ALL along with the proper forms to the post office NOTHING!

I Spoke several times on the phone with the seller too. After the $$ arrived no more answered calls. Police department in rising sun MD wouldn’t do anything about it. I figured he sold it to me via the net and also to a local buyer so he didn’t have to box and ship it ( just my guess).

In the end, had to get over it! Should’ve contacted Judge Judy before the statue of limitations ended

Something similar happened to me, I ordered a .30 cal hatsan his bwalton edition of course and waited for a couple months and nothing, he did respond to some e mails I send him but the rifle was not ready, so I called him after a couple more months but he was always busy or had an excuse of why the rifle was not ready, this went on for a little more than a year, so I decided to just let it go, he does make accurate rifles but yeah I never got mine.
