What hard cases do you guys use?

I have an FX Impact and the original case is nice but I always have to dissembled the moderator to fit it in.

What cases do you guys use? Not looking to spend too much.

I use Plano AW2 for my PCP’s..they come in 42” and I believe 50”. They use pick and pluck foam. They run about 90-120 from Amazon. The 50” comes with wheels.

Pellican has nice plastic but stiff and engineered cases. A bit expensive but durable and probably waterproof

I’m surprised no one ever mentions the Apache case from Harbor freight. There’s only a few items I dare invest my hard earned dollars over at HF, but their Apache line of cases I would in a heartbeat. Great reviews over at the GTA forums, and I personally bought a double pistol case for my son last Xmas. I passed this same information onto a fellow AGN member just last week as he wanted a case for his impact where one, he didn’t have to remove the moderator every time, and two, when you count the mags, bipod, scope turret height, he needed more room as the factory FX case was now not cutting it. 

Whats not said in the picture description is it’s o ring sealed along the perimeter, and it can be had in a olive or FDE tone, one of the two, can’t remember. 

Check out the video that HF has on their website on these cases, how they put them to the stress test and drop it from a scissor lift extended all the way up, and inside the cases were raw eggs, cameras, and wine glasses.

SKB will reimburse you for damage to contents and replace free any damaged case. I got a free one after airplane travel damage. Has airport key locks.. Built tough.

Totally agree with BigRau on the Harbor Freight case. I have one that i use for my Crown Continuum with the 700 mm barrel attached. I also use it for some of my Powderburners when traveling. Very sturdy. It is heavy though, which is a fair trade off for the robustness. The price also cannot be beaten!

Seahorse is another option. As strong and well built as Pelican, but less expensive.

I like the Boyt hard cases. Picked mine up for $85 at Midway few years ago. I like the latches far and above anything else around. They are very sturdy cases.
