WOW! How do you like the GRS crown? I really want one but the spec says 9.5lbs with out scope!!
Well, I didn't weigh mine 'naked' out of the box, but the first thing I remember when lifting it out of its case is "Wow, how can FX make such a light but solid laminate stock?"
And I would say that the spec you reference is incorrect. Here is mine on the scale with an Alpha 6 (26.5 oz), rings, a heavier TT 580cc bottle, and a Saber Tactical bottle mount pic rail:
A couple other things I note about the GRS stock on this gun:
1) Whereas it can look kind of chunky/blocky in photos, it is really very svelte;
2) Tool-less adjustability of comb and LOP are handy;
3) Really comfortable grip and thumb up-and-around position leads to very good stability;
4) Likely the most comfortable & stable stock I have ever used on any gun.
Not all is perfect though:
1) Seems to me like they didn't allow the black stain to penetrate the wood deep enough, so when the laminate was shaped there was some light/white bleed-thru on the black bands (could just be my specific stock).
2 The reach from the grip to the trigger is long. Works fine for me, but I have long fingers. Trigger position is adjustable back, but I'm not certain if there is enough adjustment for folks with shorter fingers. Something to check out before you buy one.
In the end, I really love this stock.
