What have you done with your airgun today?

Took my R7 to the back yard for a few rounds yesterday, first time in over 3 years! New Nikon scope mounted, shot all over the place first seven-ten shots, got zeroed and it resumed shooting like it did when I put the Vortek tune in it! Today I'm gonna take the R9 out back!

Doesn't take much to reignite the springer flame, even lying cold for three years. Luv my R7, but this R9 is what dreams are made of.

Diana Model 36 .22 shooting at ~14.5 foot pounds.

I know it isn't impressive but I've tried literally ten different pellets in this rifle and shot hundreds of shots trying to find something that it will shoot well. Nothing would shoot under an inch at 25 yards. Then today I decided to try seating the pellets with a pellet tool. Finally got them to shoot under an inch. It will almost pass the ten dimes challenge now. It will work for squirrels out to about 40 yards.

25 yards, 10 ten shot groups. 100 shots total. Wind was 4-8 mph at 10 o'clock. Temp was 45f.

Watched 2 fat fox squirrels chasing each other up and down neighbor's oak tree across the street through my Crown's scope. Must resist the urge to snipe them! LOL

Swapped barrels on my Leshiy 2. Put in a 25 caliber 350mm barrel. And sighted it in.

Installed new 24 step power wheel, and carbon fiber sleeve on new 500mm barrel of crown mk2. Too early to say for sure, but the cf sleeve seems very promising! 5 rounds @ 53 yards after a few sight-in shots.

NICE! I also have the carbon sleeve on my Crown barrels and the results are superb, stupid accurate and consistent!!! You gonna like it!

Finally a big fat squirrel show up on my free sun bathing! Put the cross hair on its head and POP! It dropped straight down but heard a big rustle as it fell, didn’t think much of it. Walked over and the squirrel is no where to be found, what?!?!?!? not possible! then I saw my neighbor’s big fat cat hiding in the bushs right outside of my neighbor’s window…..DOH!!! Guess a skunk or opossum will have a huge dinner! That squirrel was huge! Easy 2 pounder!



at least it’s still one less roof eater in the neighborhood.

I picked up a new set of eyes for my first bought 

 springer. I had an Air Max 3x9x40 on it which I put on my R7. Put on an Air Max 30 WA SF. 
Had to file Sport Match scope mount to fit 

 screw. Crow

More musical scope on my crown compact, moved the Vectoptics 1-6 to my crown compact and got the weight done to 7lb 8oz. Ordered lower lighter rings too and hope they will fit, lower scope to barrel height and save about 1 oz of weight. Even the color matches the stock very nicely, this is too much fun!

I had to oil down the stock on my Daystate Wolverine last night. My dog got a little lick-happy with the stock!

First time in a long while a starling landed on top of my tree so I put the crosshair right on its center mass and send a pellet straight into its chest. It squawked and fell straight down. Woot! Except I can’t find the damn thing to take a picture!

NICE!!!! I checked my trees and no squirrels still.



I did check my POI of my crown after overnight storage and the pellets went into the same hole from yesterday and the day before so happy about that at least.

Cold, rainy and windy today but managed to install the digital gauge I got from a member here on the impact. Retuned my 1720T with slight low reg pressure and adjusted cheek height adjustment. Could be worse.
