FX What I like of the FX Panthera Hunter Compact .25 Cal and what I do not.

What I like:

- Total length.- perfect size for a hunting rifle.

- Shots per fill.- the 580 cc bottle in front and the 300 cc bottle in the rear give a lot of shots per fill.

- Capacity of the magazine.- it takes time to refill the magazine but you have many shots before empty the magazine.

- Accuracy.- if you get to control the rifle, it is very accurate.

- Power.- this small rifle has all power you could need for hunting smaller critters than coyotes.

What I do not like at all:

=> THE TRIGGER.- this rifle has a so bad trigger that makes very difficult to get the accuracy and therefore to appreciate the advantages above listed.

PD.- After Nealgl1985 advice in this thread, the trigger feels better!

Wow I’m surprised about the trigger as I’ve loved all fx triggers I’ve shot.
I have never shot an FX with a great trigger. I currently own 4 of them and have owned 7 over the last 2 years. Shot many other people’s FX’s and still not one with a noteworthy trigger. Decent trigger? Yeah! Match grade? 😂🤣

How to adjust your trigger to your liking. If you have seen this video and your trigger still sucks them I'm sorry 😆. The screws on mine had loctite from the factory but I used a soldering gun with a precise tip similar to this on the screw for some heat to break them loose.

You can also heat up a allen wrench or something that fits into the top on the screw to apply heat. Go slow and don't strip any screws. Good luck.

Again a subjective thing. I have no idea how anyone can be that adamant against an fx trigger 🤷‍♂️. I was going to say I haven’t owned any other high end rifles but I have a vulcan 3. That trigger is pretty much the same to me. You want a bad trigger try an aea challenger big bore. Need to work out with one of those gripper exercise things. Lol.

The video says that going counterclockwise on second stage reduce the weight of that second stage.

I will read the manual again, but seems the contrary of what I understood of the manual.

@Emu it's my understanding that the panthera and the crown share the same trigger. I did not mess with my second stage but im assuming it wouldn't be too hard to adjust the screw slightly in 1 direction and see if it gets heavier or not. I think you should be able to make it very nice or something might be wrong. Good luck!
I gave a full turn counterclockwise to the second stage adjustment. Now it feels better.

Thank you very much !!!!

I got my .22 Hunter in yesterday. After maybe 200 pellets here are my initial thoughts:

Good:
1. Feels like a traditional AR-15, so it's like putting on a nice worn-in shoe.
2. My trigger is perfect out of the box, Almost matches my Maverick that I spent a lot of time dialing in.
3. It is very small, almost the exact same length as my Maverick Compact .25

Bad:
1. The magazine jams with all of my pellets. HN, JSB, you name it. The bolt refuses to close, I pull out the mag to find a crooked pellet jammed in sideways.
2. Tuning isn't quite as easy as it was for me on the Maverick. It seem to like higher pressures and lower hammers. I'm at 125bar and it seems happy there for Hades, cranking up the dial can shoot 18grains. I'm having up to 10 FPS variations at some settings, down to 3-5fps after tinkering but I have not seen the ballyhooed .1 fps variation over 5 shots.
3. The folding stock adapter needs work to make it feel solid.

Let's hope you get to make it work properly.

For #1, try reducing the spring tension in the mag:
