First time today in shooting my impact MK2 in a 30 cal. It’s been set up for 25 all this time, and decided to throw on the 30 cal 700 barrel kit I bought from Yen over a year ago.

a few twists and turns on adjustments yielded me these results. 

great day today. Tomorrow is accuracy check time.

Nice! Douger got me an FX Wildcat Mk2 and the 1st time out at 50 yds the velocity was 924 to 927! Obviously accuracy was equally awesome with the 25 gr JSB’s. I have a 30 cal Impact 2 Compact that I want to add 700mm slug barrel. Hope mine turns out that well! What exact barrel did u get?

I fiddled around with the valve knob and each time refreshed with a new string. This is what I finished off the mag with as it was getting dark-

Whoa. Those numbers are nuts!! I wouldn’t dream of selling something shooting like that if it’s as accurate as it is consistent.

What I’m hoping to see is if the accuracy works stellar at this speed, I’m keeping it here as all the settings are dialed in and kept the same when I finalized testing of the 25 barrel at 943 FPS just yesterday.

My reg is left untouched along with my hammer spring setting. All I did was turn the valve knob one whole turn CCW to get this. 
so if I decided to do a switcheroo back to 25 cal it’s just one turn CW on the valve knob. 


But, I am prepared with plan Z(Planktons plan from Sponge Boob)in case the pellets I’m using dont reign supreme. I do understand the whole “wanting and getting are two different things”, ha ha

@BigRagu Are you shooting 44 or 50 grain pellets?

@ Qball- I’m not taking any credit for that. Someone else on these forums suggested them so at only under $11 I decided to try them. Others that had seen his link decided based on a few of the amazon reviews to not try them(due to accidental fires from electrical shorts). I crossed my fingers and plugged it in, and all was good.


when inserting the batteries be really careful with the connector wiring and flat tape. Once I had the batteries safely nestled in and the lid shut, I took the excess wiring and weaved it back and forth against the lid cover, decided on a length to stick out to plug in, and carefully placed white electrical tape over the flat wiring(make sure not to twist wiring as you weave the excess back n forth) to secure the extra against the lid cover. 


good luck, man!! The good thing about this mod is I can revert back to standard batteries or rechargeable like I used to use, at any time like if I head out to a range where a USB port isn’t available.

Assuming your accuracy testing reflects the most consistent chronographing in the history of shooting that you just posted, you can sell every other gun you own, never buy another gun of any kind, and invest ALL YOUR assets in the pellets that returned those results.

In other words, you have nothing left to look forward to for the rest of your life.

Ok Augie, take those targets I just sent you and shrink them down to half size. With that rifle’s consistency the targets are way too big! I’m looking forward to the accuracy test, that’ll hammer the raccoons lol!

Yea .. finding the same with my FX 700mm .30 STX 1-22 liner retrofitted to my WAR FLEX rifle.

Seems the LONG length utilizes the available air pulse much more efficiently than a shorter barrel does. Also seeing single digit ES values even tho I'm running power at @ 100 FPE or a tad more with 50-58 grain slugs.
