@ Qball- I’m not taking any credit for that. Someone else on these forums suggested them so at only under $11 I decided to try them. Others that had seen his link decided based on a few of the amazon reviews to not try them(due to accidental fires from electrical shorts). I crossed my fingers and plugged it in, and all was good.
when inserting the batteries be really careful with the connector wiring and flat tape. Once I had the batteries safely nestled in and the lid shut, I took the excess wiring and weaved it back and forth against the lid cover, decided on a length to stick out to plug in, and carefully placed white electrical tape over the flat wiring(make sure not to twist wiring as you weave the excess back n forth) to secure the extra against the lid cover.
good luck, man!! The good thing about this mod is I can revert back to standard batteries or rechargeable like I used to use, at any time like if I head out to a range where a USB port isn’t available.
