N/A What is a good Airgun

Popular question, unfortunately, been asked so often think most are burned out answering. Responses tend to be all over the place since members come from different paths and have developed specific preferences. Suggest searching internet for lists, or rankings, of PCPs in your budget and bring back questions about any that caught your eye. Your choices will also provide clues to your preferences. Used PCPs can save dollars as long as previous owner hasn't internally damaged nor filled with moisture-saturated air. Yes, regulators can be added to non-regulated airguns, cost, availability and ease-of-installation will depend on the gun. Best of Luck, WM

Stating what your intended USE for a gun is would help whittle down responses. Hunting? Competition? Like to tinker or accuracy straight out of the box? Tactical or "furniture"? Your question, as it is, is too vague. Airgun preference, like artwork, is subjective. Give us something more to work with.

I am not fond of Umarex but their Zelos (SnowPeak M60) is pretty darn good for the price point. You can find them for about $425 at some websites. You can use the funds you save and upgrade the Zelos to a bottle version for more shots for about $150 at air gun archery fun.

Air Venturi Avenge and the Avenge-X are solid air guns too. I personally haven't shot one but I have heard great things about them.

Theres a ton of high mid-to high end used guns available just have to look around, Brocock, Air Arms, FX etc.
I like traditional wood stocked air rifles like AA S510, BSA R10 SE, FX DREAMLINE CLASSIC plus others.
AOA has the BSA R10 SE .22 for 799.00, mine will hang with any pcp I have for accuracy. Its bolt action but mines smoothed up enough I can run it faster then my side levers.

For the best multi-purpose, excellent quality adjustable airgun I would recommend a nice Brocock. You can find them used in your price range with some checking around. If you buy used you won't lose money on a Brocock and you would not need to do an upgrade to something else in a couple of months. A used Brocock Bantam or Sniper is really hard to beat for the money. They can be had in a semi bullpup or adjustable AR style stock.

I shoot small game mainly rats and rabbits. But also enjoy taking some long shots at around 100-150 yards just for practice.

" looking for something thats more adjustable? " what adjustments are you looking for ? I will assume you mean energy and speed . What is the end you want to achieve ?
I have. A buddy with an fx crown and he can adjust hammer and regulator curious what types of guns offer that seems really useful to be able to have options.

There's a .25 caliber Marauder for sale in Classifieds right now for $400. For your budget of 1K you could have a gun, tank, compressor & ammo!
are you looking for a long gun, bull pup or? What are your goals to use this gun for? Benchrest, hunting or plinking?
I do like the idea of a bullpup I have shot one and it seems to be more comfortable since it’s a shorter gun, but in general I think I could get comfortable with both. A lighter gun is definitely nicer. I do small game hunting occasionally.

Hey guys looking to upgrade and was wondering what a good Airgun is?

I have a gauntlet 2 and looking for something thats more adjustable?
hoping not to spend over $1000 used. Preferably regulated but was also wondering if regulators can be added to non regulated guns?
Ideally 22/25 cal.
Just curious, have you done...any of your own...searching ?
By your question, it doesn't seem so. This should be your FIRST step in your search...do your OWN...homework, before asking others to do YOUR homework for you.

Most all advertisements (main, online sellers) are pretty explanatory about their product.
Then head over to YouTube. Spend some time there. Yes, there are a few videos that don't say much, but on the other hand, there are some very good videos that explain a good amount of information about the examples. Though they aren't into quoting prices.
That's where you go back to the online shops and...do your homework.

I think if i was a nubie and someone said buy a more complicated gun , i would most likely not last too long in the hobby . I would receive the gun dreaming of fiddling with it like i read about . (thinking all i need to do is turn this up or down ) , not knowing anything about balance end up with a very poor unbalanced shooting gun ,

Then here is your answer: You can easily adjust the hammer spring to shoot a wide variety of pellets. Its compact form makes it good for hunting but it also can be benched quite easily. One of the BEST triggers on an airgun. Built like a tank. Always holds air and stupid accurate with a wide variety of pellets. The only downside is that it is not a lightweight gun.
