What is a "Probe Buffer" O-Ring for the WEIHRAUCH HW100

I have the HW100 and am looking at the full listing provided on here for its o rings and need some guidance.

Can someone explain to me what a "Probe Buffer" O-ring is?

Is this an O-ring for the filling probe adapter or something else, can't find any info on this anywhere else. It appears the fill probe adapter o ring is a different o ring than the probe buffer o ring.

I see that the part number for the probe buffer o-ring is listed as 2618A*

Any help would be appreciated

I don't see a "Probe Buffer" listed in this picture.
See if the rubber diameter and the overall diameter is the same as the "Fill Probe" o-rings. If they are...
You need two for the fill probe, right ?

Its listed below and in other lists I've found as Part number "2618A"

In your posting it is listed with that corresponded part number as a "quickfill dustplug".... thats an interesting clue.

Is the quickfill adapter the same as the regular fill probe???

There is a small oring that rides on the pellet probe and acts as a buffer when the side lever is opened.
