what is the best air rifle u can get at this moment?

first of all hello, this might be my first post but am member for a while.

distance and accurance also easy to maintain, am totaly newbie have searched alot and now now am ready to get something exclusive, price about 2000$ but lets say even +/- wont be problem , lets see!

.25 or .30 only

I would wait and see how JSAR Raptor will perform after there is enough of them on private hands. It should be really versatile platform with enough big plenum, good structure, easily adjustable, barrels from proven company. It is by far the most interesting new product for ages and also regulator is made by company with long trackrecord. I would also advice you to consider 257cal since as far as Im aware of raptor will be 1:14TJ barrel on it and 257 with that twist rate is proven to shoot nearly every bullet at that size with decent accuracy but 257 is only for extended ranges and if you are searching for airgun to use on short ranges or populated area I would advice you to stay on standard pellet calibers since 257 can cause some seriously bad damage even at max flight distances.

Well, if this is your first airgun, I would say that a little simplicity might be in order. Impacts are totally fine rifles but you need to know something about what you are doing and if something goes wrong with it and you have no idea what to do to get it fixed … well, it could spend more time in the shop than in your hands.

Do you have a tank and compressor? Have you picked out a scope, mount, rings, got a supply of ammo??? $2,000 don't go very far in the airgun world today!

If you were looking for something that would shoot great right out of the box, you might want to look at the Uragan or Vulcan Tactic or the Taipan Veteran or Cricket or Edgun. Just because you spend more money on a gun doesn't mean that it is going to shoot better than a lower priced rifle … many a Ist gen Impact owner can attest to that fact.

There are a ton of things that you have to consider when going with a new pcp rifle.

As other people have already said, I think you first need to know what you want/need then with that criteria find the best airgun that fits the bill.

Are you ok with any of these:

  • Shot count (you mentioned .25 and .30)
  • Weight
  • Power
  • Adjustability for different power setting (easy to tune)
  • Build and Materials
  • Trigger feeling
  • Ability to change caliber
  • Are you planning to shoot slugs or just pellet
  • Warranty and brand reputation
  • Bullpup vs normal rifle

And those are some of the qualities that come to mind. We are in a really good moment on the sport, a lot of good options to pick, and every year more to come. Me personally I'm a bullpup guy and I use the rifle mainly for hunting. I love the Taipan, Cricket, Edguns and Vulcans, but that being said, I'm waiting for my Raptor Mini in .25 cal

In no particular order, these are the cream of the crop air guns from some of the best manufacturers. Of course there are others but these are some of the best for around $2000. Some might be a tad more than $2000, while others may be a bit under $2000. Because your post was a little vague in regards to what you'll be using it for, weight requirements, caliber choice, desisgn preferences, etc... I just listed the ones I'd be looking at for $2K. Here you go....

FX Impact MKII

Rapid Air Weapons LRT1000X

Airgun Technologies Uragan,

LCS Air Arms SK-19,

Daystate Red Wolf,

American Air Arms EVOL,

Taipan Veteran

Kalibr Gun Cricket

Jefferson State Air Rifles Raptor

Edgun R5M

Brocock Commander

I hope this helps you narrow things down a little bit. Everyone will have their favorite but these cover some of the best out there! Have a great Thanksgiving!

It's a tough choice with so many fine guns available. I've have/had an FX Impact MK1 .25 cal, EdGun R5M .25 cal, EdGun Lelya 2.0 .25 cal, Uragan Regular .30 cal and an Uragan Compact .22. If I had to narrow it down to only two guns in my stable, I would keep the Uragans. The reasons are, they have the accuracy and shot count to be a satisfying target gun and they are robust enough to be a hunting rifle. I really enjoy all of my rifles, but the Uragans seems to have the right "stuff" to make an all around, multi-purpose gun. Good luck in your search!
