What is the group's opinion on the Benjamin Kratos?

I am looking to get into PCP and seriously considering the Benjamin Kratos in 22, I've seen good reviews a small number of negative posts but they don't seem excessive. So I am wondering what the groups opinion of the Kratos as an entry into the PCP world. I have a nitro piston gun in 22 but the accuracy leaves a lot to be desired, also I am 74 years old and frankly its getting darn hard to cock those break barrel rifles.

My opinion is that Troy should tune them! I never shot one but I have heard only good things on agn so far. Maybe someone else has a different opinion than what I heard but I think most people think that it is very good quality for that particular price point. I really like the wood stocks. Not high end but not cheap either. Certainly a very practical gun. I just don't like the weight. It seems a bit excessive but I would get one.

Especially for the price 25% off AGNATION code direct from Crosman free shipping Fridays. 5 year warranty if not fooled around with can't be beat no regulators to fail or leak or creep or do weird things to throw off your first shot too at the least opportune unexpected unwelcome unannounced moment that you won't know till you missed and for sure it wasn't you.

I started with a Cayden and liked it well enough to add a Kratos to the collection as well... it’s a lot of gun for the money and you can’t go wrong with Crosmans 5 year warranty

Wow, that's a heck of a deal! Is that free shipping only on Fridays?

It's a great rifle, my 69 yr old father shoots one, He gets around 50 shots per fill if we refill at 1500psi.

At 950 fps the daystate sovereign hunter 18.3 comes in at a crushing 36 ftlb.

Overall from my perspective it's a great rifle and he loves it for silhouette shoots,25m benchrest or just plinking steel in the yard.

Lastly I can say is get a 75cubic foot tank or bigger,With that 480cc tank it will give you about 14 complete fills (with a 4500psi 75 cubic foot)which equates to around 700 shots.

Hand pumping this gun sucks even for me a 31 yr old 6'1" dude it still takes me 15 mins+ to fill his gun up..

I would get the Kratos in .25 if you're planning any critter shooting. As the hydro-static shock difference from 22 to 25 is unmistakable on fury critters at longer distance. A less than perfect body shot on a nutter is much more effective with .25 than 22. That old adage 'power is no substitute for accuracy' may be true but no denying the satisfying whack' of a 25.

Not only does Crosman stand behind their product for a full 5 years, just a NY phone call away, but most times go overboard to fix any problems, even customer inflected ones...

I am aware of the need for a specialized high pressure air compressor, I like the looks and price of the new Umarex compressor.

What magazine does the Kratos use? Crossman's web page doesn't mention it, the owner's manual doesn't mention the number either. I figured I should order an additional one when I order the rifle.

Here's the part # for the magazines. You have to call Crosman to order them. CR-088-22 thats for the .22 I would guess the .25 part number is CR-088-25
