What is the most accurate pcp up to 225 yards and less than $1500

.308 is a better caliber for distance shooting imo. Because in higher wind conditions the .308 will have a higher ballistic coefficient.

I have Custom .308 EBB and it's set up for long range shooting. It can bang a 16" gong and not miss at 540yards. It's also been taken out to 1000yards.

When shooting to dial the gun in, shoot at least 3, 10 shot groups. Mathematically a 10 shot group will open up a 5 shot group by 40%. This will give you much better data and eliminate the luck and give you real data on which bullet works best.

Good luck on your journey.

I’d agree with the suggestions for a .257 Texan long. The 1:14 twist barrels like the 257420 slug. I’ve had good success with the Arsenal 257420 BT.

You can get a mold and cast your own. That’s what I do. Takes some time but I use whatever scrap lead I get so slug cost is low.

or you can buy them to try out.

Do proper lubing and sizing for best results. I settled on about 990fps but they shoot good from 920-1030fps.

The 257388 slugs were also OK but not better. I think they are near the max for a 1:14 barrel, while the 257420 is near ideal. 225yds is no problem.
I agree, that arsonal mold (Doug noble) 88g after Hollowpoint , hand cast is no joke. 250-320 yards so far drt on Prairie dogs no problem!

100% .257 Air Force proper sizing, slug, speed Fx, daystate, or any of those $2000+ gun can’t touch that .257
If you’re shooting 200+ yards in the field a portable table well placed can reach out and nothing will know you’re out there. Retained energy (my gun): muzzle=204fpe and @200 yards 151fpe nothing out the readily Available can match that
