What is the smallest CO2 cartridge that fits a Sig Sauer MCX-177?

I have a Sig Sauer MCX-177 MCX. I had issues with this gun that eventually led me to learn (after the manufacturer repaired it) that it is designed to use CO2 one-time only and the CO2 must be removed after each daily use.

So, the 90g cartridges I have been using are obviously not ideal. I tried ordering some smaller cartridges off of amazon, but the cartridges I ordered did not fit - the threaded end was way too small. None of them, as far as I can tell, actually specify the threaded end size, so I can't tell what to order.

Is there a threaded end size I can search for on a airgun-specific merchant site? Or could someone direct me to the smallest cartridges I can order that will fit an MCX-177?

Edit: or even better, does anyone make a converter to use the smaller CO2 sizes with airguns?

Thanks!

These have been out for several years now expect they would werq for you. Still that is a spendy gun to shoot. One of the semi auto pcp guns would be more economical in the long run. But the up front price is much more.

Yes they do make a converter/adapter for the Sig MPX/MCX that will allow you to use 2 12 gram cartridges in it. I got mine to correct the very problem you are having. It has a valve in it that will prevent the remaining CO2 from escaping when it is unscrewed from the gun.

See this post "12 gram co2 adapter for Sig MPX, which one are you using?" by MorristownTNAirgunner a little further down in this topic.
