That is a stunner! Rare rifle with showpiece wood...wow.

It's quite interesting to look at these old guns with DST's to see how they were fit. At one time my late pal Gaines Blackwell had both a Walther LG 53 and an LG 55 with DST's, and they were quite different. And as I noted above the HW 55 ones fitted to the early "short block" and later "long block" guns were also different.

Were they fit at the factory, or after sale by a gunsmith?
