Not the most powerful nor the most accurate, but a pair of little HW 57 rifles. This is the underlever model with a pop up breech, probably the safest type to load, no chance of hurt fingers. They are small, lightweight and handy to carry.
This one while I still have it: a self-named HW977UK (uber karbine). 37.5" OAL with a stock from an unknown maker. Started life a 97k, and ended up as a ultra carbine after I shortened the cocking lever and removed the muzzlebrake.
I’m in awe of some of these beauties. I don’t really own anything quite so exotic. My “coolest” is the first one I ever bought. I bought it new in (I believe) 1971. I worked part time at a sporting goods store at the time. It’s a El Gamo 68. I bring it out a couple of times a year.
