Outside of one making a irritating noise I never considered the sound of one ..

I guess the gamo ram one it's just a think of the piston ..lol ??? The hatsan qe had some funny ping noise when shot from that we shroud and baffles thing I assume . The hatsan 25sc it got a nice phutttt sound like a silenced gun in the movies kinda thing..

Gas rams are definitely eligible. I wa saying "springers" in the broadest sense of piston guns. My little .22 Theoben Evolution is up there when it comes to sound too.

My LGV Challenger, particularly when using a sound moderator. It just makes a quiet "phut". The pellet smack against the target is louder.

My least favorite was my D54. That was my loudest airgun. It was louder than my Hatsan 135.

Yes of course but there are still some things that affect the overall tone of the gun. For instance quite a few people mention the LGU and LGV. I really can't describe it well but there's a very distinctive hollow-ish *doook* to it. I'm wondering if maybe the double wall tube just resonates a little differently from other guns.

Thats a good call on the Tempest. They do sound great. The Diana 5G is another good one
