What is your "Go-to" rifle? in like survival situation and of course no powder burner.

What is your "Go-to" rifle? The one just come to "first in your mind" in like survival situation, not second guessing/overthinking. And of course, no powder burner.
1st: RWS Diana 48 in .22 simple, affordable than AA, HW and no need for support equipment: pump, compressor, tank, scope, etc. Just rifle and some tins of pellets.

I have never been in a survival situation but I would imagine that keeping a low profile would be a consideration. The low noise aspect of a airgun would be a positive especially in a urban environment. As far as small game getting, have a heart traps and snares could be helpful with using a pellet gun for the dispatch.
Or your hands and feet to dispatching.

My Marine buddy & his family are extreme to some. They eat anything & make it taste good according to him. Possume, Nutria, coyote, skunk, on & on , they eat it all. Luckily in the PNW there is no shortage of these things to eat & then some. I keep a sh..ton of traps for a rainy day & 30k + of airgun lead etc, etc, etc..
ya never know when the lights go off permanent style...lol

It probably wouldn't be an airgun, but if I had to use one it would probably be this one. I haven't thought about it in awhile, and here I am posting it for second time today.

This is my .25 converted Crosman 362. It's lightweight, plenty accurate, and runs just over 15 fpe in current form. It's surprisingly quiet pushing my cast 27 grain pellets too. As long as I have that mold, some lead, and a fire, I'm hunting for food.

There is no, survival situation, which in my mind means my life or my death, that I would not rely on a powder burner. Kinda similar to this mentality...don't bring a knife to a pistol match , don't bring a pistol to a rifle match. I would never depend on a air rifle in that type of a survival situation, but I live in a nation where citizens haven't been stripped of their right to defend themselves with powder burners, knives, or even crossbows, in just that type of situation.

You must mean state, because it certainly happens far too much on a national level. I bet if you look closer citizens rights HAVE been infringed upon within your state.

Can an air gun actually help you against a black bear? To me, it sounds like your plinking the bear lol
There's a huge black bear population in my state, and I live far enough out in the sticks to see them on a regular basis. Personally, I carry a .308 AR-10 carbine, and a backup .357 magnum revolver. I'd never carry an airgun to defend against a charging bear.

Unfortunately in my state, those options are practically not possible to do legally.
