What kind of YouTube airgun videos do you like the most?

There are 100% some paid for content out there that is honest. I know because a few of my friends have had companies not like the end product. A professional review does not mean that you are bought and payed for as a content creator. I've even known YouTubers send products back when they don't meet their quality criteria. It's easy to pass judgement and harder still to know a reviewer's standards.

I see a lot of vitriol expressed towards people on YouTube that get paid to do content, and often it is criticism that is wrong or misplaced IMO. Perhaps the industry would do better to communicate their sponsors and reviewing standards, true enough. Some of the content creators on the very top spend a lot of time with the products, but all we saw is a 5 minute video! Other times we see a 5 minute video of the whole 5 minutes a reviewer spent with the airgun! YouTube will be happy to oblige the content you enjoy, so try and give clicks to videos you find worthy and the rest is history.

One last thing: before ripping a video to shreds, try filming and editing one to your standards and share it with people on here! New content with good standards is always needed!

Shooting, pesting, testing, reviews, equipment, instructional videos? Or a combination of things...?
Hawkeye, what I have found is EVERYONE posting reviews, whether video or simply text, is either bought and paid for or looking to be paid.

When you see ANYTHING I write (can't do video), you can be sure that I am posting my true opinion as I will never take payola to write a good review.

Sometimes I am wrong, but all I can post is what I know at the time.

I actually have ethics, morals and integrity. Yes, I could be called an asshole (funny that I can write asshole, but not SH ILL on AGN), but in this context, I will wear that as a medal of honor!

Yeah, sounds like a lead up to a sales pitch... (chuckle)

However, you will never see me selling ANYTHING! And, my reviews are honest and from personal experience.

I have never been offered, nor would I accept money to give a positive review of ANY product.

As I have said before, that is probably why I will remain a poor man when it comes to $$$.

But I sleep without regrets. And I know those who really know me (true friends), trust me. (smile)

Tear down and reassembly videos like VETMX had stated are really the only YT vids I desire to watch. Well, maybe some testing vids like pellet performance or accuracy testing as long as they CYA(actually, CTA) to make sure it all appears legit with no hocus pocus going on.

Back to the tech disassembly vids, the top ones for me are Newman Bucks 910 vids, Ernest Rowe’s vids, and the two UK ones: sub12 airgunners and air rifle tech.

The reason I like the tear down vids from these 5 are they just don’t tear the gun down, they explain what certain parts do and how they affect other parts. Just look up Newman’s AMP reg reseal vid and you’ll see what I mean. He explains what happens with each of the 6 o rings that comprise an amp reg, and he also explains the air passage pathway in and out of a reg.
These guys also have everything ready, meaning the correct tools and consumables to be used for the task, and not fumbling around looking like they’re all thumbs like some of the other tech vids being put out. For example, One guy I saw(while disassembly of a Hatsan) says he recommends having a couple of o ring kit boxes, cause if you don’t have the correct o ring one of those in the kit box will work (as he’s stretching one into place that’s 2 sizes smaller than the correct o ring)

Those five also plan their moves well, so they aren’t back pedaling or missing a step for the most part

I'm not sure what to say about the Edgun Leshiy channel. It's basically a "candy" channel. I generally refrain from candy, but every once and a while I indulge. And the Edgun Leshiy channel is fine candy.
I used to watch that guy but he continues to make terribly placed shots on squirrels. Blows the face off etc.. I like to see well placed hits... Gerhard is king of the "sparrow separation."

I generally only whatch airgun videos on rifles I am interested in learning about or if I am comparing two rifles to purchase one like the HW97K vs the TX200.

I do watch Dana's videos because I enjoy outdoor videos such as back stream fishing or Appalachia trail hiking, etc .

I also like self survival videos and watch things like making stoves, canning, making butter, preserving eggs for two years without refrigeration, hard tack, long-term storage, best survival foods, making pemican, etc.

It really depends on what I am looking for at that time.

So, I guess, if you push me to make a choice, then it would be HONEST, not paid for, reviews and information. No matter the video quality.

Yeah... that IS a Unicorn... Honesty is the Unicorn.
Andy at AAR on Air frequently provides a claim/disclaimer? that he tests only airguns that he personally paid for. If you are prepared to take him at his word on that he has the review channel you're looking for. Regards

I realized today that since I am generally watching a video on a air rifle I'm interested in it irritates me when they don't tell me the pellets they are using.
I agree, but even if they did, the particular pellet may still not work on the same model gun. I always try to include that information, it’s a good baseline, and potential good ammo for the same model others may own.

Already subscribe to his channel, but don't view all of his videos as many simply don't interest me. (smile)
