What made you pick your avatar & username?

[Vana2]

My username Vana2 is from my surname, "van der Aa" which my friends shorted to "Van" and the "a2" is a play on the "Aa".

Vana2 is the handle I use when flying my WW2 air combat simulation online and I have carried it across to other forums, been using it for decades. 

My avatar is Wuzzy, the dust-bunny that lives with Fuzzy under The Big Comfy Couch - a children's TV show that I watched with my daughter. I was given Wuzzy when my daughter out grew the characters and he has been my mascot and now avatar ever since.

It was the tag left on my basket at the hospital I was when given up for adoption way back during the summer of love. My wife pushed recently for genealogy tests on me and it turned out I am American royalty/ a cool name for an avatar.

Like "cosmic" mine also came from high school. I was 'christened' with a version of it when I was on the track team because they thought I was a bit gangly when I ran, hence Froggy. Ahh, the good old days (and not so good).

In 2014 I bought an Impact Air RM100 .20 caliber from AOA, turned out the gun was a basket case from new, instead of sending it back to Az. I took it to David Slade, his shop was an hour south of me, (AOA was fantastic supplying the needed parts and the story had a happy ending not the least was meeting Mr. David Slade), it took two trips to Airgun Werks to get the RM 100 working correctly, when I would call to inquire about it I would say "this is the RM100GUY" so he would know who it was...he had guns stacked from floor to ceiling from all over the world...it was a privledge to meet him and see his workshop...Mr. Slade is a true English gentleman and a true master airgun smith! The photo is a "Navy Veteran" hat my wife bought for me at the WW2 museum in New Orleans, (Made in the USA)!

Ramjet is a nickname i was labeled with as a young teen (got D/Lic at 16yrs old) , i have been & always will be a Gearhead, love to go Fast on any thing with wheels, the pic in avatar( 70 Monte Carlo 427/L88 4spd) is one of my hotrod projects, should change the pic , with my latest & Last Hotrod (2013 Caddy Cts V) just no time , too lazy.. 66 is my age when i joined this forum..
