It’s morbid but damn I love the solid Pop! of a powerful pcp sending a hollowpoint slug into a groundhog or squirrel skull

When I concentrate hard enough to shoot well that I'm no longer thinking one bit about work, money, or issues at home.

I like to say I shoot to find my smile again. It's the activity itself and the ability to reach out and touch something beyond one's reach. We all understand the physics, but it never stopped being kinda like magic to me.

Meeting and especially helping both new and old friends at my local outdoor range
