What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Hello everyone,

More tuning on the Custom PP-800R the last couple of days and accuracy is real good. Still have a lot to improve on the shot count per fill. However I do have the Spread down to below 10 on all Mags shot. Bull #12 has to be a bad pellet when looking at all the other POI’s. I have said it before but will say it again, I love shooting this little Pistol / Carbine.

Range: Indoors at 15-Feet
Pistol: .22Cal Custom PP-800 R
Scope: UTG Bug Buster 3-9x32
Pellets: JSB Jumbo 15.89gr
FPS: 535 with a Spread of 3 on Mag #1 and 8 on Mag #2
FPE: 10.10
Benchrest: Front support Bag & rear support Bag
Wind: 0 mph

Thomas, all of your hard work and dedication to tuning your custom pp800 is paying off very well indeed! Very consistent accuracy there!

Hello @Ranchibi

Thank you Randal, I'm very pleased with the results so far but have a long way yet to go. The Spread between high FPS and Low FPS on the first mag was only 3 and on the second mag only 8, but I need to get the average FPS down now. I had much rather be shooting than messing around with tuning. I have shot a Full 500 piece Tin of 15.89gr pellets doing all of this tuning and not one paper target to show :( . However I do have a very large hole in a cardboard backing 🤪

Mike! Those Epoch 100yd groups are....SHRINKING! Woo Hoo! I have 100yd target envy....🤗. Excellent shooting!!!
Thank you @Ranchibi
i have been making some small changes on my BR set up that are making a difference
I found an arca clamp that has a flat, smooth surface that is the right width for my front rest.
I made a little modification by removing the longer stem and replaced it with a nylon locking nut.
the nut acts as a stop for resetting after each shot ..helps with the consistency.

Still working diligently on my hold and sight picture and trying to find the most comfortable and consistent hold and sight. Shot this this morning, both are the same target, first was a pellet followed by a slug, as good as I can shoot so far. Then I figured I would do my best to mess that group up and followed with 2 more shots, pellet followed by a slug and to my surprise I didn't muck it up too badly! RAW HMx .22.....

Thomas, thank you, and like you, I really enjoy putting in the practice! So far what I am doing seems to be working....time will reveal consistency!

Hello Everyone,

Baby steps to slowly keep improving on the Accuracy and Shot Count. I shot two paper targets this morning on just One Fill of the Pistol. That is 40 target shots plus several sighters and off target shots with 1450 psi (100 Bar) of air remaining. I shot the first target using JSB Jumbo 15.89gr pellets and then shot the second target using RWS 11.9gr Wadcutters. I love shooting this little Pistol / Carbine  .

Range: Indoors at 15-Feet
Pistol: .22Cal Custom PP-800 R
Scope: UTG Bug Buster 3-9x32
Pellets: JSB Jumbo 15.89gr and RWS Sport Line 11.9gr Wadcutter

Hello everyone,

It’s raining so I am not able to shoot a full target outdoors at 10-Meters but I was able to shoot 5 Wadcutters at this target. No real clean holes because the paper is simi-wet. I am surprised at this test to see that group with no more tuning from the indoor settings.

Oh yeah Thomas, fantastic tuning and groups! I JUST picked a Notos from Joe B, Ricky (friend, works there) mounted my scope and we got it dialed in! Going to be my new rat PCP! Rats beware! Shooting JSB 18gr right at 700fps.

Thomas, here she is! Boy, the regulator on this is very consistent, spread was 700-703 for 40 shots. Had to clean the barrel to achieve really good accuracy. Shooting 18gr. Gets about 21 shots before falling off the reg. Trigger was heavy but that was an easy one grub screw adjustment. Can't wait for another rat to show up so me and the Notos can help it with it's insomnia....😂. I will be ordering a Spina 3-15x32 FFP scope for it to make it lighter...or a Discovery 2-12x24 FFP......can't make up my mind...Discovery is 16oz the Spina is 21oz, too light is not good for stability for me....h'mmm.....

Hello @Ranchibi

That sure makes a nice looking rig (y) . Come on now, be a sport and mount a Red Dot Scope and maybe with a Laser to give the little dudes a chance 😁.

Wow a 3 FPS spread on 40 shots, that is a GREAT regulator.

Thomas! It is nice but heavy with that MASSIVE scope...😂! Me and red dots don't play well together....😂! Actually me and shooting are ying & yang, I am lucky to have PCP's that shoot so accurately they even make me look like I almost know what I am doing....NOT....😂👍

More practice at 100yards ..had a few shots i wanted to take back, but a good session
i should be receiving a chronograph soon, it should help me nail down the speed when i am at the range
it's difficult to see the holes, especially when it strikes in the red
the far right side targets were the sighters
may need a spotting scope ...hmm new eyes?

That looks like a lot of fun!
Those rodents better run for the neighbors yard and stay there
Nice consistency on the fps..really nice!
If you get that one to slugs too .. i wouldn't be too suprised 😁

Mike!!! Thank you so much kind sir! Yes, rodents beware! I have seen quite a few people shooting slugs from their stock Notos but I don't think a stock one has enough oomph for spin stability...but those modded ones sure will! Mine is a dedicated rat insomnia reducing duties, so low power is perfect...🤗...especially vampire hour ratting...😂
