What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Hello @beerthief

I count 12 shots total: 2-X's, 11 in the 10-Ring and only 1 in the 9-Ring. Stan that is near perfect shooting for this target 😁 . I'm giving you my rare (y)(y)(y)(y) four thumbs up.

OK, you and Ross @rsfrid are no longer allowed to compete in the Off-Hand competition :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

WOW thank you , i will still practice as i would like to get all shots in the blue center or at least touching the blue dot . IF i can do it ?

i was aiming center blue dot @ 15 feet from the muzzle . I think i need to adj. the sight a bit most everything is to the right.
I have found over the years that the thing red dot sights does best is compensate for our trigger pull. Since your trigger tends to pull slightly right (not a lot) then adjusting sight a teeny bit will compensate. Otherwise you could find a trigger position that moves the group left. My 3 cards show vastly different trigger positions and card number one shows I tend to pull shots a lot.

this is stock Morini 162 IE iron sights (open sight some people call them ) My trigger is electronic and just barely dents my skin to break. Wonderful in my opinion .

My first try at this target. I shot it outdoors instead of indoors, and at 17’ from target to muzzle. Also, I did 5 shots with the RH shooting and then 5 shots with the LH shooting—but supported by the other hand in all cases.

Photo below marks RH and LH shots. My longstanding tendency for RH shots to go left and for LH shots to go right is obvious.

Nice shooting .............................. BUT .......................... ( Freehand is pistol in one hand outstreached arm no support /other hand . )

P.S. i doubt i could shoot a target like yours switching dominate hand .

I didn’t know the difference between offhand and freehand. I will continue to practice with a support hand because the gun’s grip is a bit large for my hand, but I won’t bother posting results here.
i wasn't putting you down , seriously i did not mean to offend you in any way . Please continue to post here .
Stan in Ky .

I really didn’t know that “offhand” meant no support at all. I thought it meant no support from bags, truck bed rails, tripods, etc.

All is well. The target is nice because it is so easy to see not only from 15’ but also easily twice that.

Hello @jetpopt

Great shooting for both hands, they look equal.

Hello again @jetpopt ,

It doesn't matter how you shoot any target on this thread 😁 . There are no rules other than shoot a paper target

The whole idea is to get people to have fun using their guns more :D.

Please feel free to post all of your shot targets here :D:love:😁

Hello again @jetpopt

That is exactly why I designed this target, to make it easier to see and shoot. This is a FUN target 😁.

You have excellent shooting skills to be able to shoot so well with either hand and I look forward to more post from you.

Just picked up a used Bandit .22 to mix it up with you guys this winter. The trigger on this pistol is horrible. It’s stiffer than a fence post so I have to tear into it and see what I can do to lighten it up.

Hello @igolfat8

Well the trigger might be a little stiff but the barrel is surely OK. Those are some very tight groups (y) , you surely will be a force to deal with this Winter .

Ross, your target says 50’ so are you shooting it at 50’? If so, your shooting is very impressive.
Not 50’. I shoot at 7 yards all the time. When I shot National Match at 50’ my average scores were similar. That was with 22LR and a Hammerli custom pistol.

Even two-handed, 5 yards is quite a ways for freehand shooting. One hand Olympic Style is even harder - that's what I am practicing. That’s plenty of challenge for these old bones and joints 😂🫢🤔

ThomasT, thank you for making so many different targets available for us to print, at no charge. The Big Bang Pellet Trap is GREAT, too. Mine gets used frequently and is holding up well after many thousands of pellets.
Hello @jetpopt

You are welcome.

One of my neighbors was over the other day and I was cleaning out both of my Big Bang Pellet Traps and he asked what I was going to do with "all" those spent pellets. I told him that he could have them if he wanted. He said he planned to make some fishing weights and wanted to know how many months it took to shoot "all" of them. I explained that it was only a little over 2,000 pellets and that was about one month :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:

Those two traps have provided me with countless hours of fun indoor and outdoor shooting for almost two years now, Pete @Pellet trap man did a heck of a good job fabricating them (y).
