What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Not shot anything for a week on Friday and having severe withdrawal symptoms, but come Friday evening i will take my frustrations out on little fat critters with long tails.

The rat smacker are ready for action.
That is IF:
The cut down barrel with the ghetto crown work.
Damn thing barely fit in the case.

Oh yeah! I hope you inject many a long tailed rodent and help them with their insomnia....😂👍

@manabeknives , The weather is going to turn nasty before you know it. Some of us are just prepping for indoor lead therapy to get us through the winter. Shooting these darn pistols is pretty challenging, well at least for me. I’d like to have one of those fancy pistols like Ross is chootin’ but I figure I would dive in to this sink hole on the lower priced side to see how much I would like it. So far I’m having fun on the $cheap$ …

This year i have invested in a heated shack to shoot from, if that's not enough i could imagine a pistol in my future.
I think my apartment from the street side wall in the living room to the back yard wall in the kitchen is 10 M, if not it is damn close.

Heated shack or not, the main challenge is always the wind. FRI + SAT seem good from here, but that's also in in the 9 day forecast.
Mind you my friend have a loft above his stable, there you have 15 - 20 M of sort of clear space, but damn it got to be cold in winter.

Hello everyone,

Here is my latest offering to the Winter Competition Pistol shooting. Please note that I shot this on a “revised” paper target, 15-Foot Air Pistol Target Indoor 2.1. I increased the outside ring line thickness so that it can be seen much easier at a distance. I found this to be very helpful using a Dot Scope and I’m sure it will be good for anyone using Iron Sights also.

The pdf file for this revised target is attached below.

Range: 15 - Feet Indoors
Pistol: Diana Bandit .177 caliber modified w/Buck Rail AR Conversion & Grip
Scope: The Hawkeye Red Dot
Pellets: H&N Sport 8.18gr Wadcutter
FPS: 475
FPE: 5.9
Position: Bench with Bipod and rear Bag

You got your Bandit dialed in @ThomasT

Have you decided on a standard plug size OD to score targets?
Hello @igolfat8

Tim I haven't even thought about it, what is your suggestion. I know folks will be shooting both .22 cal and .177 cal, ? maybe the .22 plug for those shooting .22 cal and those shooting the .177 cal ?

I am not using a plug now because of the clean holes from the Wadcutter pellets, but some will be using domed, sooooo ?

I tell you, I'm just having way too much fun with the "Chameleon" so it's whatever makes everyone happy 😁.

I ran out of the H&N Finale Match 8.18gr and now shooting the H&N Sport 8.18 and the aren't quite as accurate but I just shot a 230 Points :ROFLMAO:. Using a Red Dot Scope on paper is not as easy as one might think, so I am pleased with the results so far. I know the competition will tighten up soon :(

Hello @rsfrid

Ross, how do you score a perfect bullseye with a scoring plug  :ROFLMAO: :ROFLMAO::ROFLMAO:. I cannot remember, are you using the BugBuster scope?

ThomasT
Bugbuster 3-12 power side focus. Cross hairs are a bit thick, but work for me. The only thing I don't like is only three clicks per moa. One click can be top or bottom of center hole. So I adjust with a tiny bit of hold over, under, left or right to get group to center as close as possible. I use the scoring plug to see if hole touches center cross hairs. That's how I score an X.

My entry for now. Bandit rested on two sand bags @10M. This is much steadier than yesterdays set up. This darn pistol jumps around like a springer rifle. I still haven’t figured out the best hold yet but it’s fun experimenting. I ran out of JTS-16’s so I used 18’s.

Great shooting. I understand the jumping around comment. Shooting from bags not as easy as some would have you believe.

It was even harder from yesterdays rest set up. I was using a mechanical rear rifle rest with the butt of the pistol grip rested on a block of wood. It was really shaky and jumped around even more with each shot. It’s still jumping today. I ordered some Buck Rail parts so I want to try a front bi-pod next.

Hello @igolfat8

OK that makes it so easy to score, 5-One-Hole targets, that is some good shoot-n (y)

Hello @Ranchibi

We are all patiently waiting for you to post some shot targets  🎯

ThomasT
Thomas, I have been shooting but not much as I have been on 3 mini vacations and 2 different friends have been visiting, one last week and one this week...will have time after Saturday to do some focused plinking! 🤗 I do go thru withdrawals if I don't get to let some compressed air out...😂

@ThomasT have you had any leaks from the fill port in your Bandit? I filled mine, pulled out the probe and could hear air leaking out the hole. It leaked down to the yellow area on the gage and seemed to stop. I filled it again and I don’t hear any leaking now. I’ll check it again tomorrow.
Hello @igolfat8

No sir, no leaks any where in the system. I'm filling from my 1.6L air tank and filling up to 2,900psi and it has sat over night with no change.
