What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

This weekend I am shooting A-17 targets at the intended 50-feet. TX200 MKIII with 10.3 grain AA Field Heavy.

100/100
97/100
96/100

The variation is largely due to my being inconsistent with my grip.

That can also come from variation in the trigger press which can be as simple as where you finger is placed on the trigger. When your shooting really well but getting a bit of leakage, for me I have figured out it's the finger vs trigger that is the culpert.

It could be. For me, so far, trial and error suggests the 2 key places where at 50-feet the variation come from are trigger pull and grip with the springer. As I am usually shooting a much smaller bull found on the USAS 50/50 (2006) it is more pronounced. Here is an older target.

nice shooting
Stan in KY .

I squeezed in another card this morning shooting my .22 Bandit (benched) at 10M. This card was shot with CPHPs that are =<5.50 which I culled out a couple years ago. I sorted several tins to 5.51, 5.52, 5.53 and =>5.54. Those larger sizes have since been shot up so I am down to these smaller ones that wouldn’t shoot well in any of my other guns but the Bandit seems to shoot them good enough to provide me lots of indoor winter time lead therapy.

Hello @igolfat8

Another well shot card with several "one-hole" also :D. That has to put a BIG grin on your face.

Shot my FWB 300 S today at 46 feet. A bit shaky today so not too good. Usually l shoot the 10 meter targets but generally only a group of 5 and pitch them. Today I thought I should get a little more mileage out of them. So I turned them over and stuck a shoot and see spot on the holes and took a washer with a 1/4” hole and traced out some circles. The shoot and see spots were about 7 bucks for 432 of them. I could probably do quite a few more circles looks like

What do you guys like for an adjustable rest? I just have a Caldwell bag and a suede sand bag I use under the butt. Sometimes the FWB 300 with the wide fore end tends to twist and not stay put through the shot on the Caldwell big bag. Thought maybe I’d try something different. Thanks. View attachment 537639
Hello @Steve Milbocker,

Before I built my new rifle rest, this combination ( see photo ) proved to be the best for me. It is a “Lyman Bag Jack” with a “Lyman Bag” up front and a “Large Caldwell Bag” at the rear. Very stable and quite easy to adjust for elevation and windage. The Lyman Bag can adjust the two side bags to accommodate almost any gun, rifle or pistol.

Hello @TheAirgunnero

That is some mighty fine shooting and a nice video. Pretty neat to be able to go back and review your shooting.
