What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Hello @Ranchibi

Thank you, I am really having a blast with this new rifle, what a pleasure to take a new gun out of the box and be able to shoot it ..... who ever heard of that  . I am just about to hit pellet 500 down the barrel with only a few left in the second Tin, and it's coming around  .

It is so beautiful here ( except for the wind ) I am forced to keep shooting.

I always have to clean this..tighten that..adjust this...Wish i had this luck with the air rifles i purchase. Right out of the box! Glad the rifle is doing well for you!

Gusty winds ...sideways rain ...i'm just waiting to dry out 🌧️

Hello @manabeknives

Well trust me this is a "rare" / "really rare" event for me. In the past I have spent over 6-months tuning and working on a rifle to finally get it to shoot OK.

Hang in there with the weather it surely will get better some day 🤔 😕

Spent the morning tuning the air stripper on my Atomic pistol. I wasn't able to redo the one hole groups at any of the settings. Perhaps outside weather has an affect on pellet flight? Or maybe it was because I had trouble with my pistol grip and sight picture? In any case I reset the cone back to 3.5mm then setup and shot this card. The bottom row is 5.56 sorted headsize. The rest of the shots are with 5.55 sorted head size. Seems to do better with pellets a tiny bit fatter. The 5.55 pellets seem to wander a bit. #12 is pretty typical during a run of bullseye shooting for this gun. The Atomic is not nearly as consistent or predictable as my HW44 Weihrauch.

Hello @rsfrid

Ross I know you weighted and sized but don't you think that #12 is more likely just a bad pellet and not so much the Pistol. Look at this card, that is some mighty fine shooting (y)(y)(y).

Could be, Thomas. But they are JSB and they never have bad pellets 🫢🤣😂😏

Hello everyone,

One of my new scopes came in early this afternoon so I got it mounted on the Sniper XR. I now have a complete set up for benchrest shooting along with the Precision Rifle Rest. The wind had died down a lot so I set out a MOA 25-Yard paper target and gave this new set up its first test. Shot a perfect score of 30 even with these ole floor sweeping JSB pellets straight out of the Tin.

Range: Outdoor 25-Yards
Rifle: Brocock Sniper XR .22 caliber
Scope: Vector Minotaur Gen2 12-60x60 MFL FFP
Pellets: JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.13gr
FPS: 834
FPE: 28
Wind: 3 to 5 mph

Thomas, congratulations on the new Vector scope! Outstanding cards with the new glass! Enjoy the crystal clear views it provides!
Hello @Ranchibi

Man I got this mounted and set it up to align the cross hairs and looked through it and my spinner set out at 25-yards was right there in my face. Then I noticed it was on low power, as I increased the power up to 60 I could see the brush strokes in my paint job. A 1/4" circle now looks BIG, and this old man needs that kind of help 😂.

Like Ross @rsfrid says, aim small and miss small.
