What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Hello @Ranchibi

Well the "problem" is like a Circle, there is no beginning and no end, ....... I just don't know what to do .

ThomasT
so set up targets in a circle , put swivel chair in the middle ? maybe even motorize the swivel ?

Today's card. Remember, I have a self-imposed goal of hitting the center X (at least touching it) for an X. Even tho the tiny center circle is the actual X. 200-19X isn't too bad. Gotta work on consistent hand hold tho.

that is the same way i score , unless scoring for the 30 yard or masters card, then i abide by their rule of skimming the outer edge of the 10 circle.

Hello @rsfrid

Boy another beautifully shot card and you are really hard on yourself for the scoring :D

So today I tried the 5.55 head size pellets and they did really well. This is the Atomic 22cal pistol shooting 700fps at 7 yards rested. MOA at this distance is only 0.07”. So all five bulls were sub moa by a bunch. The top left bull had a lot of tearing due to condition of cardboard backer (it was over a previous hole). This is a mix of FX and JSB pre-covid pellets of which I have quite a stash. The Atomic doesn't seem pellet fussy.

Hello @rsfrid

Well the Pistol surely is not "pellet picky" all five targets are perfectly shot.

First attempt at 50 Yards with a .177 - 10.34 JSB Heavy at 886 FPS.
Using a Bipod and holding the rear stock in hand.
IMHO, very unstable off of a picnic table. Rifle felt like artillery recoil.
Avg miss .500" plus.

Hello @Loopster

Well a 1/2" at 50-yards is MOA so that is not a bad card at all (y)

Good 1st on an unstable table .
MOA on your first is really great!
Sometimes i like to use a table with a wobble at home because it gives me feedback on how much i am moving around when i don't need to be.
Reminds me to calm down and not get fidgitty...which i do a lot
Looking forward to more and your debut at 75 then 100!

177 at 50 yards will rarely do as well as it does at 25 yards. There are too many environmental issues to contend with. Try at 25 yards, or better yet, try at 33 feet (10 meters) and watch the accuracy increase. Just my opinion. Still, it's good shooting for that distance.

Hello everyone,

Low clouds and fog this morning so I did not even try to shoot. Just after noon the fog was gone but still overcast however no wind so I shot several paper targets. Shot some warm up targets and then shot this Best Average Center to Center and I don’t know why the paper tore so badly but it made it a bit hard to measure and score.

Range: Outdoor 10-Meters
Rifle: Air Venturi Avenger Gen I, Regulated, .22 caliber
Scope: Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x50 FFP
Pellets: Rifle Premium 18.67gr
FPS: ?
FPE: ?
Wind: zero mph

Hello @Ranchibi

I haven't had much free time to shoot lately and really needed to get some paper shot today so I was really pleased to see the fog lift. I just messed around with some "warm up" targets and that was a lot of stress reliving fun 😁 😁 😁 . Then I shot some spinners as fast as I could, trying to shoot a second spinner before the first spinner stopped spinning ...... that is fun :p. I'm all better now.
