What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Hello everyone,

Got a short break in the weather so I decided to shoot off “the bags” instead of the Precision Rifle Rest. Shooting a hard target with the bad JSB pellets was not a wise decision. However I will admit that I am now completely spoiled and choose the Rifle Rest over the bags. Obviously the accuracy is much better but just acquiring each target and then holding for the shot is so much more difficult.

Range: Outdoor 10-Meters
Rifle: Air Venturi Avenger Gen I, Regulated, .22 caliber
Scope: Aztec Emerald 5.5-25x50 FFP
Pellets: JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.13gr
FPS: ?
FPE: ?
Wind: 5 to 10 mph

Here's the results of three back-to-back days of shooting NRA smallbore targets at 7 yds. In the old days I used to shoot this sport with 22LR every Saturday during winter. I really enjoy it. 300-27x is not bad. These were shot with my HW44 (of course) and Baracuda FT 9.57 grain pellets straight from tin - unsorted.

Hello @rsfrid

Well you don't have any worries about being consistent, 🤩 , there is not enough difference to even consider. That has to make you feel real good, that is some really good shooting (y)

Just a couple general targets today. Finished retuning my Atomic to 700fps with 5.55 headsize pellets. Best I can do with that pistol is 3/4 MOA rested at 7 yds. So I shot a couple General #2 targets and here is the result. Combined score 400-39x. I've started scoring using an official 177cal scoring gauge.

Thanks @beerthief , We shoot at 50’ indoors. I’ve had three 399 scores out of a possible 400 in the last three matches. I just can’t get that elusive 400, arrrggghhh.
