Hello @manabeknives

Thank you and to be honest #18 was the "shooters" lack of concentration, after I pulled the trigger I was wondering what the heck was I thinking o_O :oops:. My excuse is at 82 ( almost 83 next month ) all three of my active brain cells don't always work together :ROFLMAO:.

Good luck at the range today and looking forward to you sharing the results.

Hello everyone,

Another day of rain, wind and some thunderstorms so I will have to pick my times to shoot some paper targets. This Brocock Sniper XR has really come to be one of the most consistent accurate rifle that I have ever owned. I now have over 2,500 rounds down the barrel and I have to assume that in can be considered “seasoned”. I know there might be some controversy over if and when a barrel can and does become seasoned, but from all my experience a “new” gun just does not shoot as accurate as an “older” gun that had many rounds shot. Today’s target shot 5 times at each set of Bullseye and all 25 shots within the .177 caliber Ring, and that makes me happy.

Range: Outdoor 10-Meters
Rifle: Brocock Sniper XR .22 caliber
Scope: Athlon Argos BTR Gen2 10-40x56
Pellets: JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.13gr
FPS: 834
FPE: 28
Wind: 5 to 10 mph

I haven’t shot in 5 weeks due to various reason. Mostly because my Red Wolf has been at AoA getting an ART tune, should have it back late next week. @ThomasT, I’ve done some work on the rest hope to post some targets soon.
Good morning @oledawg

OK great, looking forward to seeing some "well shot" paper targets from you very soon. Also would like to see what improvements you have done on the rifle rest .

I was thinking about you the other day, I am still using your scope on my Avenger and have been using it to "tattoo" the local squirrel population. I have shot over 10 in the last couple of weeks and all shots were done in a standing position.

Hope Joanna is doing well.

Have a great weekend,
ThomasT

OK, I don't shoot this target very often due to it’s degree of difficulty (I suck at this one). But maybe once or twice toward end of winter indoor season to monitor my hand hold, etc. 33 out of 48 possible is pretty typical for me. All shot holes were plugged with 177 scoring gauge to be fair and honest.

Hello @rsfrid

That looks like a tough target, but you shot it well. There may be a little red still showing on some but the POI is excellent.

Yeah, I wondered about that tiny bit of red. The holes this pellet makes are much smaller than 177. The scoring gauge shows complete eliminating on the 2's.
