What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

ahhh..i see
i went with the cheap one .. it will do the job, but will move lower when nudged
i'm still glad i got one...maybe i can put something on the threads to give more resistance ..the opposite of a grease?
Thanks
Mike
I had a couple of those el-cheapo's and there are a lot of stacked tolerances in all those pivot points. The one that @ThomasT showed you is money WELL spent. That little booger is what I am using and it has FAR less wiggle than the inexpensive lab jacks. They run about $60-70 bucks through AlliExpress.

Those s200 platforms are just SO RELIABLE! Great cards! On my want list for sure 👍
I’m very glad I finally bought the pair. With the 3D printed moderators they are the perfect suburban backyard rifle. Just an air rifle in pure form not trying to be anything else. I’ve ordered some parts and accessories since they are still available, since those will eventually dry up.

Thanks for the encouragement Ross
I do get hard on myself. I just always feel i can do better..hopefully, the groups will get smaller with work.
btw...on those sissor lifts, is there a way to either lock it in place once you get to a desired height?
Thanks
Mike
No. I just set it so the crosshairs are a bit below poi then when I lean on the jack it raises the crosshairs up to poi. Fiddle with it and you'll quickly learn how much low to set it. For me it works great — others don't like the fiddle factor. Still more consistent than squeeze bags. The idea is to get cross hairs to settle on bullseye with no movement.

Hello @manabeknives

I forgot to mention that even though my Z-Axis has a brake/lock I seldom use it because the "system" is so solid. I haven't experienced it to move down after a shot.

Tried to shoot a couple of 25 yard papers today to have something to flash, but shooting for X the wind just broke my back every GD time, but then shooting for holes in the paper, well a few times i did send 4-5 thru the same hole, so good ( hole not changing shape or size as far as i could see ) i had to shoot elsewhere to verify.

Of course a few seconds later and wind changed again and i was a pellet / 13 gr slug size off again.
But ! i will go as far as declare my new scope Zeroed,,,,, pretty much did that by itself, first shot, me preparing to maybe clock my DIY barrel shroud CUZ that sucker aint strait, but NOPE first shot was like 2 inches off at the worst.

Need lower 34 mm scope rings though, it came with some pretty tall ones.

Hello everyone,

Cold and windy but clear blue skies and a good time to shoot some paper targets. After shooting several warm up targets and doing pretty good I decided to shoot one of the most demanding targets and test myself. Not a perfect 250-points but I will accept the 185 with pleasure.

Range: Outdoor 10-Meters
Rifle: Brocock Sniper XR .22 caliber
Scope: Athlon Argos BTR Gen2 10-40x56
Pellets: JSB Jumbo Heavy 18.13gr
FPS: 834
FPE: 28
Wind: 10 to 15 mph

nice shooting in the cold ( what is cold to you ? , my neighbor mowed his lawn and it was only 37 F , Me? i waited till it was 42 F )
Hello @beerthief

It was 44f when I shot this target but it has been in the mid to upper 70's for over a week now. We ( down here is Deep East Texas ) almost always have "that one last" cold spell before Easter.

Looks great! Must get a ton of shots on those settings.
Muscles tense up to try to keep warm in cold weather..usually effects my trigger pull
The 18's are still my favorites, but beginning to like the Shallows more and more
Beauty of a day ..hope to get in some shooting time
Nice one Thomas

Very well done. This is similar to my nemesis target I did earlier. Very difficult to fit that pellet in that very tiny circle. You did very well with yours!

Hello @Ranchibi

That looks like it was perfectly smoked and plenty juicy 😋
