What Paper Target Did You Shoot Today

Heading to the range tomorrow which is the first time since November and to say that I am excited is an understatement. Plan to shoot a RAW 22 HMX1000 Chassis, that I picked up used over the winter. Just shot a quick card to get it on paper at 10M.

Hello @igolfat8

Looks like that RAW shoots all of the brands just fine, even the JTS with a slight Scope adjustment 😁 . Hope it does as well at 50-yards and you have a ton of fun.

I shot my brand new FX Impact M4 with a thermal scope on it. These are the last targets that I shot at today as I was doing some initial experimentation with different slugs. All are five round groups except for the lower right which is three rounds. The .22 caliber magazine only holds 28 rounds.

Thermals can be a little difficult to sight in if you are using the disposable hand warmers because of the "blooming" effect in the scope. Today was a sunny day and I was able to cut up small pieces of metallic tape and see them through the scope. The distance was 25 yards.

The projectile was the NSA slug at 31.2 grains with an average MV of 862 FPS for a little over 53 FPE.

The winds weren't cooperating very much. With that said, I'm very please with the rifle. Shout out to Toni at @Talon Tunes for making this a pleasurable experience. He's a great guy to do business with.

Hello @Steelontarget

Those are some very tight groups(y). That is an impressive and very long scope :):ROFLMAO:

It looks long because the ocular lens is dialed all the way back. My eyes aren't as good as they use to be and that's the only way that I can get the display in focus. There's actually a generous amount of eye relief; up to 100mm.
