What PCP pistol would you recommend?

I'm thinking about getting PCP pistol .22 cal for mostly plinking & occasional pesting, with budget around $1000 or less.

thinking about Ataman AP16, or PP700, or Leshiy, or Weihrauch HW44. What would you guys recommend?

I have Marauder prod with custom stock and donnyfl, that is my go to pistol. Last year I got Wildcat MKI .22, use it once or twice and then it is just sitting in my cabinet, maybe I'll sell it.

The Ataman AP16 and the Weihrauch HW44 are both solid platforms. (I have both) Regulated and accurate.

The Weihrauch comes with a silencer and you would need to add the adapter and moderator from DonnyFl for the Ataman, so there is a slight cost savings.

If you go with the Weihrauch, I would get it from Krale. Their version has the moderator as removable and they will get it to you faster than any other vendor.

Ramjet66, it was my diy wooden stock, nothing fancy, but works really well (i'll post pic tomorrow). The stock that comes with prod is too low and awkward.

Thanks for the info. Krale has the most complete suite of pcp pistols

What is the noise level of Ataman + DonnyFL? I have one extra donnyfl ronnin I can use (just need to buy the adapter)

As much as I like my PP700, I’m a tinkerer and that was a necessary ingredient for being pleased with it. The OEM regulator in particular has a spotty track record. It can be tamed with effort. Leaky O-rings are another thing but that’s easy to deal with. The barrels are generally very good though mine needed the crown dressed. My suggestion is to keep this sort of thing in mind and if it meets with your expectations, you too will be pleased with it.

I have an Ataman AP16 and a PP700 with a Huma reg, a shorter LW barrel, and a shorter airtube. I have about $650 in the PP700 and it still cant compare to my box stock, never been touched Ataman. If your budget is a grand, buy a $1,000 gun. The PP700 is a great budget gun if you hit the lottery and don't have issues or if you do, its a fun gun to tinker with. But it is not in the same league as an Ataman or Weihrauch.

I have to say HW44 in .177 is my favorite pistol so far. Incredibly accurate and quiet. Fast and flat shooting. I was so impressed with the .177 that I bought a .22 in the classifieds. It hits much harder and is every bit as accurate, but not nearly as fast or flat shooting. These pistols are so accurate and well designed it’s almost magic. Makes me want the rifle and the bull pup too. My friend had never shot a gun before and she was putting a pellet inside of a dime size circle at 20 yards! And if she hit the line she was disappointed 😁. I like the .177 so much that my March 2.5X-25X now lives on it! This gopher target is at 60 yards and the group is 5 shots off of two bags and a solid bench. Sorry for going on and on...but as you can see I definitely like these pistols.

I'm going to vote for the HW44 in your price range in .177. As the above user stated it's quiet, fast and flat shooting with 8.44gr. The trigger is very light with a clean crisp break.

Now personally I don't care for rifle scopes on pistols, nor do I see pistols with stocks as still being pistols - at that point it is a carbine setup and I'd rather go with a carbine rifle setup to get the benefits of larger airtank, longer barrel and more power.

I've topped my HW44 with a Leupold 4x handgun scope. Sighted in at 15 yards and it's dead on accurate within 1/2" out to 40 yards.
