What PCP pistol would you recommend?

I'm thinking about getting PCP pistol .22 cal for mostly plinking & occasional pesting, with budget around $1000 or less.

thinking about Ataman AP16, or PP700, or Leshiy, or Weihrauch HW44. What would you guys recommend?

I have Marauder prod with custom stock and donnyfl, that is my go to pistol. Last year I got Wildcat MKI .22, use it once or twice and then it is just sitting in my cabinet, maybe I'll sell it...…….may i aske what kind of custom stock ya got , any pics ?I have 5 P-Rods all have the plastic stocks but one , not sure what it is , but its metal, anyways , the Prods are my favorite, go to......if you could try a crosman 600 ya might like it I, they are fun to shoot -10 semi auto

Picture of the prod with my diy custom stock. Will probably look better if i paint it black.

And my wildcat, that is just sitting in the original box now

Yep. At $1000. I own both a pp700 and an HW44. I like both and both are very accurate. If I could only have one or I was doing extensive hunting and/or pesting, I would buy the HW44, considering the stated budget.

To expand on this a bit, the pp700 is an excellent pistol. After quite a bit of work, as others have noted. It is single load-not necessarily a problem but is a possible factor for pesting. It is very accurate in stock form and can be improved with work. The HW44 provides equal if not better accuracy, is quieter, is a repeater, and does all that out of the box with no work needed. And the HW44 fits into the stated budget from OP. Both will probably serve the OP's stated goals if the factors mentioned are considered.

I can't compare to the Ataman because I don't have one. I do have both a pp700 and an HW44. With the moderator, the HW44 is very quiet. Without it there is little difference between it and the pp700. Both are very accurate. The pp700 has had a lot of work to get it where it is. The HW44 was there out of the box, with quiet shooting easily available when needed. Not as easy with the pp700. I like both but other than cost the HW has many advantages.

For that price range, you could build a completely custom pcp 1322 as I'm in the midst of. Or for a fraction get a pp800/bandit. I loved my 17 caliber so much I got one in 25. Both are VERY accurate. Maybe not the absolute best. But very close for 1/4 or 1/5 the price. I have a prod trigger on my 1322, and it might be nicer than the trigger on my FX Crown. Maybe consider getting a prod?
