Check Carm out he is working on a 14 - 20 pellet magazine for the Rex, For the price range I think this gun is a little overlooked , Its pretty sweet if you can get over the crappy magazine , Mike
Yes it is in series giving me a net volume of 175 cc. I wanted the gauge close to me and opposite it is the foster fill port. I EDM the manifold to connect the 2 tanks, my take on the Hatsan Jet2. I call this the Notos Rocket2, lol. Below pic, folding stock adapter with quick picatinny vertical mount in progress.
Ordered it that way. Far as I know they are factory. I think it came from Pyramid air. But it was a long time ago, probably 1990's. No Beeman marks on it Just RWS.. Has mostly English stamping, one side is in German.. Like you I want a RWS 10 but I wanted left hand grips. The 6G at the time had a right hand and left hand option, with a price increase of course. Had mine rebuilt about 20 years ago, piston seal went out.
Pale Rider I remember some of the 6G's with the model 10 barrels. I would have preferred your barrel style. My markings are different than yours. I have not been disappointed. I did a lot of research and frankly the 6G was the best buy you could make on a recoilless pistol at the time. You can adjust the grips to snug your hand. It's hell on bugs.
I forgot about the 6M and I'm sure now I was wrong about the 6G having the flat barrel. They must have been 6M's. The 6G had the hooded front sight and inserts and the 6M had the same setup as the 10. I heard the 10 shot high and I wanted something that I could shoot insects with along with a left hand grip that drove me toward the 6G. I thought all three models had adjustable triggers with the 10 being more refined. The wooden grips are hard to find I know, betting the lefties are unobtainable.
Had to have mine rebuilt several years ago so I sent it to UMarex along with $100 bucks and good as new. I bought the pistol just in time to catch one of the Cicadas invasions. Boy was that fun. I was shooting wadcutter pellets and they just blew up when hit. Simple things for simple people I guess.
Couple more. The MRod is and early AirMax in 177. The 2240 has been modified somewhat. Heavier hammer spring,, 14 " barrel, Hogged out valve, trigger work and larger transfer port. Get about 575 fps with Crossman 14.3's
Resealed and greased the old C40, and ran a few dozen rounds through it. Seems to like the domed 7gr pellets best.
But you fix one problem only to find another ... the spare magazines jam like crazy. It originally came with two mags and they work perfectly, no jamming or misfires. When I went looking for extra mags, all I could find were 1008 mags which are supposedly backward compatible with the C40. Visually they do look identical to the original mags but clearly there's some difference. The two original mags works flawlessly but the three newer mags all jam (fail to index correctly, pellets are grossly misaligned with the barrel). Has anyone else heard of this?
