What pistol did you shoot today

Wow I actually shot a couple pistols today, my pair of stubby 2240' well one is a 1740 I guess. Still had CO2 enough for about 10 shots each.

Everything matters. Too often we focus on the gun, the pellet, etc. when we should be concentrating on stance, foot placement, grip, etc. I have pretty much learned to close my eyes, raise pistol to target and see where it lands. Then shift stance till raising the pistol has the sites right on the bullseye. There will be less stress on your muscles that way. Practice, practice, practice.
Bingo.
And the grip hold … whenever I shoot the HW45 I find that the slightest change in my grip will push me off target. That’s probably the most grip-sensitive pistol I have.

Need to get the Webley out. Too busy smoking two turkey breasts. Already finished turkey brats in the smoker. Going to make some Mac and cheese with smoked sharp cheddar and chopped smoked brats. Will disappear fast when the family gets here. Be Well Brothers and Merry Christmas, Bandito.

Broke out the Umarex MP40 today for a chrono check.
They advertise this at 465fps or thereabouts.
I chrono'd it at 440fps with black diamond BBs, and at 10 yards it was holding 1" groups., even on full auto!
Not bad for a BB gun plinker.

Oh .... and zero misfeeds with the black diamonds. Just pure fun.

This thing wasn’t without a few initial problems.
A minor nitpick … the shoulder strap loop was on the wrong side so I had to pull the barrel shroud and flip the loop over.
A real problem though, is some of the internal dowel pins. I had one split. This caused intermittent jamming at first then outright failure to fire later. Methinks the pin that split was not hardened properly, if at all, and it appeared to be some sort of “hard stop” that was repeatedly slammed in normal operation. Easily fixed with a proper hardened pin from the local hardware store and it’s been trouble free ever since.
Anymore, I sort of expect problems like this. Everything is made to a price point and certain corners are cut. I try to find those corners and replace (or make) whatever to bring up the quality
